Not offensive in the nature of the request, but offensive by the practice. OK. here me out:
I understand your request comes from your notion of love and recruitment. You have found something swell for yourself and you want to share that. Cool! Can you imagine that other people have found something swell for themselves too? People who are enriched by their faith (1,000 of faiths)feel the exact same way as you do. That feeling doesn't make yours better or theirs better.
So, how would you feel if someone here called on all of those willing to pray to SATAN for all the world to walk in the way of his LOVE. Kinda creepy right? So, you are assuming that everyone is OK with your request. But it really is the same thing.
Why not take that personal faith, and continue to let it enrich your life, and be open to understanding all faiths, and respectful of all peoples and their religions.
****Just saying it's not intended to offend doesn't take the offense off of your shoulders. The way to really not offend is to celebrate everyone's beleif while being strong in yours.
