HAHA I can see what your getting at. This isnt a battle that you can win. Neither can I. I'm christian but a relaxed one. People have their opinions and who am i to tell them different. I dont beleive everything I hear. I beleive things that i know however. And I dont know for sure that a god even exist. I guess thats the whole concept to a religious faith alone. People tend to take the bible TOO literal. Then things begin getting mixed up. I am a scientist as well, some things in the bible just dont make sense. But if you read a book that offered a way for you to live in a sunny nice beach, and youve lived in the projects all of your life...and all you had to do has follow the books teaching...would you take it? I'm sure you see what i'm getting at as well.

It is not the fact of being told and just beliving. It is looking at the evidence. The Bible has been around for a very long time as as hard as people try, no one can disprove what it says. It has actually proven many things that people say didn't exist. For instance people in the old testamnet, places, that for years scientist said there was no evidence of thier exsistance and then all the sudden they find proof. How shocking it was in the Bible the whole time. So just because you can't see things does not mean there not there. And just because you are told something it doesn't make it true. You have to read and study and look at the evidence yourself. And hopefully you will find the answer you are looking for before itis too late.

I'm not going to question your beliefs, but I do want to make a quik comment.

Did the magician or any of his chosen people make predictions that always came true and still are coming true?

Is the stories in the book backed up by history books and science?

No I do not believe in the Bible, but with all that I have mentioned it has to make you pause and try to figure out how.

With all the research I have done on this subject I have realized that the book was written by man, not God; and it is more of a Fable then it is factural.

In other words stuff was added, stuff was taken out, ect. ect. But it is still based on truth.

hahaha. yes i would.

why, because these magicians exist. they are called biologists.

and they can spawn life, in the form of microscopic organisms, and could put them on a tennis ball if they wished.

plus, a moldy tennis ball is a great life-bearing object.

if you think about it, the earth is just a moldy tennis ball, floating in space, around a flaming basketball.

I understand what you are stating.
There is a story in the bible about a guy who is reading the bible, and somebody who understood the bible asked him what he was reading. He answered truthfully that he does not know, because nobody explained it to him.
A magician makes magic, but God makes spiritual people in his image.
Another very interesting piece in scripture is where Jesus opened the minds of his deciples to understand the scriptures. Think about this, ...does this mean everybody before the deciples never understood the scriptures ? i think it does.
i don't judge anyone who does not understand, it has just not been explained to them.

Is this the whole creation thing? The bible? No I don't believe it. For all the public today knows, it could have been some crazy old man thinking that his imaginary friend told him to write things down and call it a bible.

No, but I put a bunch of ants on a beach ball once and they all raised their antennae at me. Then I pulled out a magnifying glass and tried to burn the ones that didn't, but the beach ball ruptured and went flying away.

Hell no I wouldn't believe. I've been through so many different churches and religions seeking the truth, it's not funny.
One of the lessons I've learned in life is that no one religion, Christian or otherwise, is the sole and absolute truth of everything. I've been through so many religions, all of which claim to be the "One and Only Way -- all others go to Hell".

people of faith are told what to believe. if they are told it, then they will believe it. Magician is a good analogy too. Appearances are decieving but not all people are aware of it. blinded by pretty lights, they will follow whoever wherever and to whatever end if they are trained to. just like moths.

As easily believed as a virgin birth or Joseph Smith finding golden tablets he didn't melt down for value. If you're looking for something to believe in, any story is possible.
