Yes, I have heard of those verses....frankly, I don't care if the bible scoffs at me for not believing in Jesus as deity. Scoff away.
I take solace in knowing that I like some of Jesus' teachings, along with the various teachers of the world. :-) That matters more to me, than a book scoffing in disrespect.

Speaking of the Bible. Did you know that Jesus supported Old Testiment law?
"For truly, I say to you, till heaven and earth pass away, not an iota, not a dot, will pass the law until all is accomplished. Whoever then relaxes one of the least of these commandments and teaches men so, shall be called least in the kingdom of heaven; but he who does them and teaches them shall be called great in the kingdom of heaven”-Matthew 5:18-19
So why is it that I don't ever hear about Christians stoning their disobedient children, or rape victims? If you read the Old Testiment, you will find that Jesus idea of law and order was very cruel and barbaric.
Why do Christians constantly try to get school prayer when Jesus was against it?
"And when you pray, you must not be like the hypocrites; for they love to stand and pray in the synagogues and at the street corners, that they may be seen by men. Truly, I say to you they have received their reward. But when you pray, go into your room (or closet.) and shut the door and pray to your Father who is in secret..." -Matthew 6:5-6.
And please, oh please, tell me why Christians are always talking about their superior family values.
“If any man come to me, and not hate his father, and mother, and wife, and children, and brethren, and sister, yet, and his own life also, he cannot be my disciple” -Luke 14:26
And finally, what is the reasoning behind Christians getting jobs, life insurance, mortgages, and all the daily trappings of life when Jesus also said the following.
“Take no thought for your life, what ye shall eat, or that ye shall drink; nor yet for your body, what ye shall put on... Behold the fowls of the air: for they sow not, neither do they reap, not gather into barns; yet your heavenly father feedth them. Are ye not much better than they?” --Matthew 6:25-34 & Luke 12:22-31 inclusive
So where am I going with this? If Christians can't live by the words of their own god, why should the prophesy you cite have any more meaning? I expect you will rationalize an answer to these questions as most Christians do. If you must rationalize the very words of your god, doesn't that tell you something about the nature of the message?
By the way, my Messiah qoutes trump your disciple quotes. When you die, suppose you're right about this whole Jesus thing. Will you try to rationalize your opinions of his "actual" words to him?

My beleif is that these things were written by MEN to reinforce false stories used to control populations for reasons good and bad.
But still my love does not grow cold, I do not follow teachings of demons, I do not desire to do evil things, etc.
The statements above are not true in my life.

Stop prosletizing! I get so tired of people who don't really have a question to find out an answer, but just to constantly quote Bible verses. That's not what this site is for. If you have a legitimate question about Christianity, then maybe we could all learn something.

Yeah, I've heard a bout lots of these. I'm a non-believer...am I going to heaven when I die? IF there is an afterlife, am I judged on my nature...my character...good/badness... or will I be judged by my religion? If heaven is an exclusive club for one religious type, I don't think I want to go anyway. If it's not, I'll see you there, provided you too are a good person, not provided you are Catholic or Buddhist or anything else.

Why would that mean anything to us? Oh wow, we're mentioned in a book (very vaguely I might add) that's thousands of years old. IT MUST BE TRUE THEN!!!!!!! Muslims talk about us too, so do pagans, hindus, heck, probably even buddhists have something in their teachings about people who aren't their religion. And by the way, yeah, we do know that we're mentioned in the Bible.

Not taking one side or the other, but if someone is a non-believer, I would assume that they think that the Bible is mostly irrelevant and if "they" are spoken about in there it holds no more value than being spoken about in a Superman comic.
In other words, the answer to your question is rhetorical.

Yes, we realize, but that doesn't matter much. Most non-believers think that the bible is just another fictional book. Christians are mentioned in The Da Vinci Code, but that doesn't mean you have to believe it's true.

Most people who don't believe in God know those verses because they have been spouted to us time and again. Just because it is in a book of some kind doesn't make it real. Pointing them out to us isn't going to have any kind of effect either. Those that don't believe aren't going to change their minds because of some biblical verse. Besides, a large chunk of non-believers were once Christian.
