I can't pass this one up.. Baptist, OK I'm nondenominational. Like you and most of the other who answered here believe that our faith in Christ is our salvation. The differences come in church government. What day is the Sabbath. None of the Churches you mentioned are really that different. We are all believers in Christ and therefore all members of the church first built by the Holy Spirit begining at Pentecost. Any group that believes or teaches in works salvation is cultict and not of Christ no matter what name they put on their buildings. No true Christian church would prescribe that man may become like God. That was the lie Satan told Adam in the garden "you won't die but you will become like God knowing good and evil.. Yes young man study other faiths find out what being a christian is and except all true believers in Christ as brothers and sisters. Reject any that would make Jesus a creation, some spirit child of God that had to become Divine. Jesus is God he is all the God there is, The Father is God and all the god there is. And the Spirit is God and again all the God there is. These three are the one true God Christians belong to. A loving Father, a Savior who gave everything for us, and a Spirit who points the way to salvation and lives within us keeping the Lord's promise to never leave us.

I go to a Pentecostal church. Jesus Christ is the only way to salvation! As a kid I went to a Baptist church with my parents, but I didn't like it. The Pentecostal church is more lively. If you are looking for a new church try a "Church of God" in your home town. You just might like it. Good Luck and God Bless

I'm LDS. You probably know us as Mormons. We do believe in salvation through Jesus Christ. We believe that he suffered for our sins, not only on the cross, but in the garden of Gethsemane. We believe in baptism by immersion. At the age of eight we are given the opportunity of baptism. We believe that this is an age when children can become accountable for their sins. If they choose to be baptized, we believe that their sins are washed away, and any sins they make in the future can also be washed away through repentance.
Jesus Christ is the center of our religion, as it is many others. We have many common beliefs, but one that differs from any other christian church that I know of is that we believe the Father, the Son, and the Holy Ghost to be separate beings, but one in purpose. I hope that makes sense.
There is a lot more encompassed in my religion than just this. So much that a lifetime of studying and praying would not allow you enough time to learn it all! But, I hope this gives you a little insight :)

Hey Sister... if your Baptist you all ready got it right. No need to look elswhere. unless you have gone south that is :-)
This Q&A Yahoo business is not the place for detailed info. Check with your church library. They most likely have atleast some info to get you started.
Now I aint the most strict Baptist But I will take The conservitive Baptist flavor over most other. not going the Protestant way. There are any number of "churches" out there claiming to be Christian. Be careful in your study.
You can email me if you like, I dont spam...aint got the time. but can answer the simple questions. All honest seekers welcome
edit note: stay away from the Lost and Decieved of Satan(LDS) if you are looking for Christian information...they aint Christian.

i replaced into raised Baptist and the church replaced into so lifeless and they did no longer have any solutions. It replaced into better like a gossip social club and individuals got here partly because they may well be criticized in the adventure that they did not and the wealthiest guy in the church contributed sufficient to position in a brilliant stain-glass window and panorama the grounds making it a lot nicer, with a sparkling sanctuary, plus blue stain-glass domicile windows on the aspect, yet there replaced into no exhilaration of the Lord in that position. they don't believe in the full gospel, in reality in salvation and that is it in reality, yet do believe in the culmination of the spirit yet would no longer coach it in any respect. although, there are some Baptist church homes that are on hearth for the Lord because they have come into the fullness of the Spirit, or you ought to call them Charismatic Baptist.

You may have questions about what members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints believe. Some of the basic beliefs of the Church are:
God is our Heavenly Father. He loves us and wants us to return to Him.
Jesus Christ is the Son of God. He is our Savior. He redeems us from death by providing the Resurrection. He saves us from sin as we repent.
Through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we can return to live with God if we keep His commandments.
The Holy Ghost helps us to recognize truth.
The first principles and ordinances of the gospel are faith in Jesus Christ, repentance, baptism, and receiving the gift of the Holy Ghost.
The Church of Jesus Christ has been restored to the earth.
The priesthood authority of God exists in His Church today, just as it did in the original Church.
The Bible and the Book of Mormon are the word of God.
God reveals His will to prophets today, just as He did anciently.
Our life has a sacred purpose.
Families can be together forever.
Through serving others, we can experience joy and draw closer to God.
The best way for you to receive answers to your questions is to talk with a friend or acquaintance who is a member of the Church. We can locate a member in your area who would be glad to talk with you. You are also welcome to come and worship with us.

Ah, if you can get a hold of a book called "The Book of Discipline of the United Methodist Church" that'll outline every doctrinal belief of my church.
We believe in the trinity, resurrection, salvation, sanctification, and discipleship.
