I agree. Why?

Because I read the Quran and because I have eyes and know their history.

All generalizations are false...
Including the one above this line.

Please! Are you about bashing a religion? The subject Islam is a religion, it is not a culture. In fact, Islam is a diverse and segmented religion. Shiites and Sunnis would offer you some pointers on some vast differences there.

Should you then say Christianity is a culture of death? Seems like a Fundamentalist Christian supported President of the US has been responsible for over 35,000 Iraqi deaths. Does that make it a culture of death? Yet I know some very peaceable Christians, those who would rather die themselves than harm another human being.

Sorry, I find that your question is inviting flaming. I would ask you to reconsider what prompted you to post this. You might want to pray or meditate on it. Ask yourself what inside you caused you to stir this more.

And no, I am not Christian, Islamic, or Jewish. And yes, I have seen war close up and am sick of it.

Islam is a religion Christianity also etc.... etc....So with that in mind and mature answers given. Cultures of death, Mayan perhaps. Now there is one were you don't want someone to say let's go talk to the priest! No Islam is not a culture of death, Neither is Christianity etc...., But all have killed in the name of their gods. Before I get hate mail, study history all religions have fought and (or protested themselves to the point where someone died) caused death in the name of their god/deity. Name one that did not? The main thing to remember in the study of these religions and cultures, you must be open and honest was it their god they were following or their own lust, greed or fanaical idea! That is where most "culture's of death come from". God Bless

Disagree. Fanatical Islam and Fundamental Islam may be considered cultures of violence and even death, but they do not represent true Islam.

Well, I don't know about Islam culture. I agree some people in the supposed muslim religion have made attacks based on what supposedly mohhamed told them to do. I don't have to specify.

well,i'm a muslim and i disagree wuth you...you will obviously say that i disagree because i'm a muslim well that's partially correct because any one defends his religion.but, think logically you cannot connect what some islamic terrorist groups(like al-qaeda)do with what islam really is.earlier some christians in america believed that black man is evil,no matter what he does......is that what christianity really like...hmmmm......! brother...i'll just tell you..that in any religion there are moderist and there are the extremists but this will not change what the religion is.....right..!?

No more so than christianity. When a religon's destiny is fulfilled only by the death of every man,. woman and child on the planet, it's followers have NO right to criticise any other religion...
