Absolutely, I refuse to believe blindly in religions written by men. Even if God spoke to these men, I have to assume that some things were lost in translation. I do, however, pray everyday that human-kind will awaken their desire to walk in the way of love.

Yes, but I think some answers here maybe have the wrong idea. Believing in God but not religion doesn't just mean not going to church and reading the Bible at home. It means you don't believe in the religion so you wouldn't be reading the Bible, or at least you wouldn't be reading it as the definitive word of God. Otherwise you are still religious and Christian but just not a church goer. Believing in God without religion I think means believing all religions are manmade and therefore to false at least to some degree. Some nonreligious people who believe in God that I know reject the idea of any one religion being true and instead believe that all religions are attempts to know God and each may have some piece of truth in them without being THE TRUTH. What is true or even knowable is up to you then to decide for yourself.

Yes i believe in God (Jesus) fully, but as far as religion it was formed by the opinions of respected preist or holymen etc. back in the day as to what they thought was expected upon them from god. I look at religion as guides to learning, an unexpeirenced christian can learn a great amount from a one religion and as they learn and become stronger they can go out to other religions and be open minded to except more information to become there own faith and not have a religion. Most religions believe in the same God but at the same time clash as to beliefs, this shouldnt be... Be open minded and purely true to yourself and god, your own decisions are not always perfect, but that we arent and I would like to answer for my decisions of faith i made and not anothers.

I assume you speak of the christian version of god, for many religions have different gods.
Yes, you can believe in god without the religion. Man created the religion.

Religion and God have nothing to do with one another. Religion is putting on a false front in public. God is your creator and your sustainer. You must believe in God, but you do not have to associate with any religion. Religion never saved anyone. Only Jesus Christ, who is God, can save you or anyone else. Religion says that you must do something in order to be saved. The Bible says that all you must do is accept the work of Jesus Christ at the cross and believe in his atoning grace to be saved. He has done all the work for you. Believe today and be saved.

Sure you can. Did you know that the word "religion" is only mentioned in the Bible seven times? And six of those seven times the word "religion" is mentioned in a derogatory way. I believe that God does not like religion Himself. God is not a religion, He is a person. A religion is an organization made by man not God. There is only one "religion" and it consists of people who know that they are on their way to Heaven when they die.

Yeah, where is it said that you may not? I believe we are all on the way to the same place, much like a train on a rail and God is the Head...some of us are in the back coach and some closer to the front...I believe the closer to the front you get, the less you need to rely on others to have faith cos you can see the front and a part of you knows what is pulling...Can you afford not to believe in GOD?

Of course you can.

Religion is nothing but a set of principles and guidelines made by some people which they thought will help you attain spirituality if followed correctly. They believed its the easiest way. But there is no rule that you have to follow or believe in a particular religion to attain spirituality!

For example Buddha, the founder of Buddhism, what religion did he follow? Not Buddhism! because he found it. ie he found a set of principles by which he could attain spirituality and keep his faith firm in Him. He didn't follow any religion.

Look at Jesus! What religion did he follow. Nothing! He Found one! So if you can find a way by which you can stay out of doing evil and can continue doing good and keep your faith in the ultimate power, then thats your religion!

Yes it's possible. What your describing is basically a "deist." This way of thinking can be referred to as deism. A deist chooses to believe in God because following their own reasoning and not that of organized religions or "revealed religions," he/she deems it logical to belive some higher power created life and the world as we know it.
