My brothers getting married in July, and I need to know if I need to find a date.

It is o.k. if you have a date that knows your family really well and can sit with them as you are busy performing your bridesmaid duties.
I went to my boyfriend's brother's wedding when we first started dating and it sucked because he was at the head table while I was stuck at another table and we hardly got to see each other.
You need to consider whether or not your date would be bored or uncomfortable.

It might be better if you went by yourself for a two reasons.
1. You only have to worry about what a good time your having instead of having to worry about you and a date.
2. You might meet someone there and that could be very cool.

Don't take a date. That way you can devote yourself to the bride. That is why she asked you. If you take a guy, you may have to neglect him, because of pictures and other bridesmaid stuff.

If you do take a date, keep in mind your date might not end up sitting with you. I would hate for you to take a date only for him/her to be completely bored by people he doesn't even know.

if you are a bridesmaid...you will be busy so it would be awkward to invite someone who does not know others who are invited
if you are dating someone who has met your brother...yeah
if you just want someone to dance with...ask a friend to come to the reception or meet you for the dancing part

Who says anywhere you have to bring a date to the wedding? If you don't want to be alone, you don't necessarily have to bring a guy, you can bring a friend.

I think you should go stag, your date would be bored stiff while you are doing your wedding duties, but if he is a steady then he can sit with other dates, but personal exp. says go stag

Yes, find a date so you won't be alone and get teary eyed. Be sure it's someone up beat who can behave themselves too.
