lets say eternity = 10000000000 billion years. lets say you live a 100 years. that means your percentage of life on earth is something like .00000000001 and 999999999999 billion years in hell or heaven. don't you think u should at least read the bible a little bit? at least the new testmant where tells how to avoid this hell, just for the sake of it?

Wow, so there are other religions also that have a resurrected "god".

The more you study religions the less special Christianity becomes. It seems every religion has a guy whose mommy didn't have sex, and was crucified, and came back from the dead.

שלומת מה שלומך?

See, I typed the question mark at the end, but it put it at the beginning. Everything seems to go from right to left correctly except for that! It's so annoying. How can I fix it?

For instance, groceries, dry cleaning, an infant, a package you picked up at the P.O., and so on ad infinitum. It always seems to me that each time I come home, I've got an armload of things to juggle before I can get the door open. Is it true for you, too?

The more you study it, the more you see that Jesus was just a man, a man and nothing more.

You'd think at least someone would choose the best answer if they took the time to ask the question. I don't care who gets the points, but might find it interesting to see the persons choice.

just a thought i've always had but it may seem kind of ridiculous to many i assume:

so supose you're at heaven's gate and god tells you that you have to go to hell because you have been extremely bad and now you will suffer in hell.

but doesn't the devil want us to do bad things? wouldn't he thank us for going against god, or is he working for god to punish us?

what do you think on that?

I thought churches might be simple buildings encouraging us to live simply and without greed and you know em. I can't explain. I went into a Large Spanish church and it had the largest organ I have ever seen. Also there was gold everywhere and lots of plaques, statues, big murals, modles of Jesus and his diciples and lots of fancy show of stuff. I wasn't expecting that cause I thought they wouldn't want to have the churces looking all flash and making themselves look rich and greedy. Well thats the impression I got. That the church was built by a rich person who was showing off. I can't remember for sure how it came about but it seemed 2 fancy for a church.

Greater restrictions on individual liberties is a hallmark of Christian proposals. Whatever the subject area — sexuality, drugs, you name it — it would be highly unusual to find Christians backing any sort of expansion on what people are free to do.

The Christian Right is Anti-Sex.

The Christian Right is Anti-Pluralism.A significant amount of the Christian Right’s agenda and activity can be explained as an outgrowth of their opposition to pluralism. Modernity is very pluralistic in terms of values, religions, politics, gender roles, and so forth. The Christian Right looks back to a time when they imagine society was more unified and homogenous, thinking that society was stronger and better then. Diversity is not a strength for the Christian Right, it is a weakness that distracts people from following God.

• In Ex. 21:22-25, God tells us what to do if a man who is brawling knocks against a pregnant woman. If the woman dies, the principle of "life for life" is invoked and the man responsible for her death must be killed. If she lives but has a miscarriage, then the death of the fetus is to be compensated for by the payment of a fine, as demanded by the woman’s husband.

Thus has God revealed the status of the unborn fetus: it is not an independent, full-fledged human life, whose destruction amounts to murder. It is a thing owned by the woman’s husband—a thing whose loss, like that of any other thing, may be compensated for with money.

• In Num. 5:11-31, God commands a husband to get an abortion for his wife if he suspects she has been impregnated by another man. A priest is to make her drink a potion and tell her, "If any man other than your husband has had intercourse with you, may the LORD make an example of you . . . by bringing upon you miscarriage and untimely birth."

To deliberately cause a miscarriage is to perform an abortion. And who brings about this miscarriage? Who performs this abortion? It is the LORD who does so. God is an abortionist.
