You need a birthday countdown. Then no one can ever forget. ;) Also, celebrate your half-birthday. Not with presents, but just having fun with friends and family.

I don't know why, but it is really important to me for people to remember my birthday. I remember everyones' birthdays, so why can't they remember mine? Every year I mention that my birthday is coming up for whatever reason, and some people still forget. This past birthday, I decided that I wasn't going to mention to anyone that my birthday was coming up, and outside of my family members not a single person remembered. I was completely crushed. I think I need a new group of friends.

Because you are a loser? And they have better things to think about.
ok, that was mean. sorry.
Most people don't think about that. Unless you are under 5 you shouldn't expect people to remember your birthday. If you are going to base you happiness on what others say and do the rest of your life you are going to be miserable.
Next year, give them a little notice, not everyone is as thoughtful as you.
When I was in college I was feeling sorry for myself because my family didn't call me all day to wish me happy birthday. I got a call about midnight telling me that my niece had finally gotten her heart and they had done the transplant. I felt soo selfish; that was a big eyeopener for me. It is just a birthday, people have their own lives too.

Happy Birthday to you happy birthday to you happy birthday dear bead head happy birthday to you.
First did you let people know it was your birthday. Next year organise a night out or party for your birthday and let people know. Buy yourself a nice present or book a nice holiday for yourself as a present thid year. But don`t leave it to chance next year tell them and hint at what you want.

Do you share your b-day with another family member?
My little bro and my son have the same b-day (12/27), like it's not bad enough to have a b-day that close to Christmas!?!
Now my bro complains that everyone "forgets" his day...(not true)
Next year, write up a (small) list of things you would like to receive as gifts and give the list to your parents....in case they aren't sure what to get you.
Or be proactive and throw yourself a "surprise" b-day party.
btw, HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!

It's not as bad as you think. When YOU forget your birthday, that is bad. Go celebrate your being, but celebrate it with the one(s) who gave you life. That is the best way to celebrate it. When my parents were alive, I sent them a thank you card for giving me life, loving me as much as they did, and setting the standards they did which they never rescinded. What great role models they were, which I told them before they died.

happy birthday bed head!! do you remember your when family member's or friend's birthdays are approaching? do you buy greeting cards or send e-greetings? do you attend celebrations and have a good time if you do? do you throw parties? some reasons they could forget....
-you're a no-show when invited to celebrations
-you don't celebrate anything
-you don't have a good time at a celebration
-you a non-participant in any activities (even at work or school)
-you don't hang out (not even by yourself)
the list of reasons could go on and on........

i'm sorry they forgot. you have to be rememorable for people to remember.
