Jesus was a man created the same way as you and I. That doesn't take away from what he said or how he lived. It makes it more impressive to me actually. I guess people felt the need to make Jesus and his teaching so out of reach for normal man. They wanted him held up so high so what he said would be made so important. How sad for him. He taught love and was shown great hate. He didn't run away he stood for what he believed. Wouldn't you applaud any man today that did the same thing? I would. We have the same abilities as Jesus but have been told it is wrong. Look at what happens the moment a person on this site mentions psychic abilities and yet in the bible people talked with angels and God and they did all sorts of abnormal things. Do any of that now and it must be the devil or some demon. I honestly think people would deny Jesus today if he didn't glow or levitate or wear a robe when he shows up.

Thats ridiculous. You got that from a Gnostic source, whom by the way believed Jesus to be a Spirit not a man in the 1st place. Bad historians today like to take Gospels that were written up to 400 years after the supposed writer of them died and present them as fact. If God Created the earth and man and everything else, could he not be born as a man himself by a virgin birth? Is that less likely to you?

The word virgin in the time of Jesus meant a woman married to a priest. Also Jesus was a man a man in his last incarnation on this planet and on your last incarnation you teach others the way before you leave. God is not a person or being as religion teaches but is our combined essence so we are God although I believe the word was meant to be Good. E

There is no proof that Jesus was virgin born. It is only recorded in the Bible. If you believe the Bible is the word of God, then you believe in the virgin birth. If you do not believe in the Bible, then it doesn't matter. It can have no impact on your life what so ever. I wouldn't waste my time on if I were you. I would worry about if there is a literal hell or not. That can make a difference. I would decide if fire insurance is even necessary first.

The Virgin Birth is a story made up by the founding fathers of the Catholic Church to strengthen the myth about Jesus divinity. To me he was a good guy with the many interesting things to say but his mother was no virgin.

Nothing more than a man? You're almost right. He was fully man, but also fully God. It's only God that can gives us salvation, the salvation that Jesus gives us. But it's only man that can truly and completely intercede for us between man and God, which Jesus does. But it's only God that could have done all of the miracles he could have done, yet Jesus has done them. Only God has the power and authority to forgive sins, yet, Jesus forgave sins. It's only man that is born of man, yet through Mary (human) he was born God, because he was also born of the Holy Spirit.
Jesus was so human that everyone around him only viewed him and thought of him as such; however, we know that he was so much more than man because Scripture tells us so and his character and actions showed us. He came in the power of the Spirit to tell us this. Jesus was a man, but he was also God, in the flesh.
In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was God and the Word was with God. The Word became flesh and sent to earth to die for our sins. You can find the rest in the Book of John.

Yes, because I have firm belief in the bible, written by men of different professions, era, age, and conditions, and yet have the same message of salvation and love found in that one man....Jesus Christ. Who, being the son of God, took it upon Himself to come down here on earth, live as we do, and love us unconditionally by dying for us. So, my answer will always be yes! Jesus was born of a virgin woman, Mary, by the power of the Holy Spirit!

Gnostics believe Jesus was a mystery and a great teacher. The Gnostic gospel of Thomas begins with Jesus saying, of these secret teachings " Whoever discovers the meaning of these will not taste Death"
Jesus was an enlightened human being who's foremost enlightened teaching was to love others as you love yourself. Whether he was born of immaculate conception or not, ( I believe not) his message is what is important.

I actually looked into this whole 'immaculate conception' thing. Did you know that there is some medical thingy that causes a woman to essentially impregnate herself? I'm not sure what the name was, but it happens once in a blue moon, very very rare. It happened to some poor really young girl in the states. Very plausibly to Mary too! Plus, doesn't Jesus actually say that he is a man? He doesn't say "I'm God's son, yo, obey my religion!"... and in that row, if he's Jewish, then how come the Catholics follow him more religiously...

Really? And you're 100% sure of this? You're willing to be your life on that statement? I read the link you provided.
"Kersey Graves was born on 21 November, 1813, in Brownsville, Pennsylvania, and died on 4 September, 1883, at Richmond, Indiana. Graves was a skeptic, atheist, spiritualist, theological reformist, and writer."
Your Mr. Kersey Graves died 21 November 1813. I wouldn't trust this guy if I were you.
