in the middle ages if someone argued that they weren't responsible, the devil was... they would be burnt at the stake.
hundreds of years later, if someone claims demonic influences as an excuse for criminal behavior, they will surely be committed for psychiatric help. this is not a valid excuse to commit criminal acts. think about it a while. this excuse is only used by deranged people who claim insanity or otherwise try to avoid responsibility for the evil things they do. no one has ever walked out of a courtroom with the judgment that they didn't do it...the devil did.

The Devil in my understanding is no more than a catalyst. He can not compel you to do wrong, just as God does not compel you to do good. BUT, ironically both God and the Devil help the good people gain browny points, and make the bad folks lose. Devil is creative about his evils, but that is about it. He has no power over you.
Devil makes a bad offer to ya... you refuse. So you get a good browny point. God makes a good offer to you, you take it, again you get a good browny point.
If you take the Devils offer or refuse the offers made by God and disobey, in either case you lose points.
SO, who says Devil does bad... he does bad only to those who come under his influence... which is not that bad after all.
What do you say?

Brother, the Devil doesn't MAKE anyone do anything. He persuades, cajoles, threatens, teases and uses every trick in his book -- but it's FREE WILL that allows a person to decide his / her own actions.
So, no -- refusing to take responsibility for your own actions should never be a valid defense.

devil became created by God interior the start as an angel. devil (Lucifer) did no longer like the belief of being governed by a extraordinarily good authority, God. So he and another angels rebelled. devil would not like God...he would not decide for to be an angel back. He basically desires to make our lives poor and turn far off from God. Adam and Eve fell into devil's temptation. i comprehend what you mean...why? God created the worldwide so it became good, yet sin entered it. God by no ability mentioned the worldwide could be good continually, yet that became His plan. devil introduced in sin to alter God's good worldwide right into a bad one.

No because even when satan tempts us we still have a choice.... to do or not to do. That old devil has enough to be accountable for, I don't think he should be responsible for my mess ups. LOL

No because the devil cannot MAKE you do anything. You have your agency. That is why he was cast out of Heaven...he wanted to MAKE everyone's choices on earth for them and have no agency.
