I'm short but I was never bothered by it until people teased me once in a while. Now I just laugh with them, and it doesn't bother me.
Is that the only reason that people don't like being short is because other people tease them?
My fellow short people, what are your reasons for not liking that fact that you're short?

I am in the UK just about to enter my third and final year of my BA degree. I've asked questions here before, but people (usually Americans) seem to think of it as a useless subject. I have noticed that people here people are less critical about it.

Its not as if its easy work for us at all. In fact, this year I have to write 5 papers. 4 of them will amount to 5,000 words each, and one of them will amount to 8,000 words. Altogether that is 28 thousand words. I also have exams to sit. That can't be easy!

So why do people mock the subject? Please don't say its all about common sense, because its not!

I have heard certain practices eg wearing of hijab by Muslim women described as "not religious but cultural" and wondered whether this is a valid contrast as sociologists understand culture
Of course I don't question that they are distinct things

can be relocated, so are good for temporary or emergency use. My question is ...How can they be used to help the homeless and what is the best way to get people involved and making it happen. I would love to see young people organize and help governments implement some ideas with old truck containers. Because they can be lifted and moved about would make them good halfway homes etc.

I personally think that poor White people might experience the most racism/discrimination of any group in the United States. That's because they don't have any groups to help them. Minorities have their own leaders, interest groups, & affirmative action to help them. Poor White people don't have anything to help them, & they're looked down on by both more successful White people, & by minorities. Poor Black & Hispanic Americans are seen as the victims of institutional racism. While most of American society views poor White Americans as white-trash.

I never really knew much about capitalism. But then saw an advertisement for an adulterous website. Basically, a site, that's dedicated to helping and encouraging people to have affiars. While the people running these sites profit of this. And make good money.

Is that not capitalism? I mean that's kind of horrible. And there's a lot of these kinds of site out there. So now after seeing that, I don't know what to think about the whole ideal of capitalism.

Give me your opinion on the subject. Please.

These persons MUST be alive today. They can be in jails, prisons, on the loose, on the FBI's most wanted list, but they MUST match the question's criteria.
List your choice of 10 and please explain, why they are on your list or why there are repugnant to you or society as a whole.

A routine lifestyle, where you were reasonably sure of what you're likely to encounter day by day, so that you plan accordingly?

Or, a lifestyle with a totally flexible (or non-existant) time-table, in which most decisions and reactions to situations were based on intuition and/or instinct?

Or do you already have the ideal life pattern for your personality?
