Different times and places i have experienced different things. When i was young, like 12, i was hit in the head with a football and assaulted for being black and walking through a block where it was largely white. I was with my friend who was white. Mind you they said "get off my block ******" and then attacked.
I have dealt with people assuming i am ignorant, uneducated, saying things to me in a condescending tone. Mind you i have a masters degree.
Lots of different things, some small, some large, all painful.

I Don't think I've experienced racism, but I have experienced Discrimination.
I used to be an 18 year old waitress at a pizza place for a year and a half, and my boss was making me train older women to be supervisors and shift managers, But I wasn't? I think it was my age because all the other people were in their 40's.
Then After I quit that job, I go back to it as a shift manager at the age of 19(getting ready to turn 20) and nobody wants to hear me, listen to me, because they're either older or I'm their same age...
After that and After I was 20 years old, I started a place as a cashier and everybody was so nice. But I was promoted to assistant manager after a week or so, and my fellow manager tries to point out stuff I was supposedly doing wrong, another woman just didn't want to listen to me, and another girl quit. Then another girl age 20 got hired in, and was trying to act like a manager too, so she got fired...
BUT, here I am, 21 years old, youngest person in the store, and still an assistant(knock on wood). The other manager and me are on okay terms, and everybody else is doing well. And frankly, I don't care if anybody doesn't respect me due to my age because I have the authority to write them up and will do so anytime for insuborniation(only if they're real bad off), plus the only person I care about what they think of me is my boss, which I'm so glad is a guy because if it was a woman, I'd be effed(women are cruel that way, well the majority are).
Also, I had an "epiphany" the other day after worrying my @$$ off if I was being backstabbed by the women I work with: "You can't control what people say or do about you, so why worry about it?"
I feel that people think I have to be 40 years old to do a job right, but I do have brains. I got a woman who was nice, but still found it hard to beilieve I was so you ng and a manager.. SHe said I had a good personaility.. soem people come in thinking that if they're older, they have to simplify everyhting for me and talk all wide eyed(like talking to a crazy person)...
They're just making themselves look like fools though, I don't know whether to laugh at them, or pity them for their ignorance....
That's my story....
I just wish racism AND discrimination would stop from all sides, we're all human beings, so why can't people treat eachother like human beings?

I have big time job discrimination issues. Just about every job I have had I have been harassed because I look too young to do my job properly or people think I am a luff when I am not. On top of it I have natural Blond hair that just does not stay in one place. When your in the military or are in any place where your appearance means the difference between being over-looked for a promotion or being let go because people think you can not do your job even if you know you are smart enough and capable enough to do it. It just floors me in this day of age that people still resort to the way a person looks in order to make a judgment on how they will preform on their job. I am Currently unemployed because of it and I dread every time I have to go to a job interview, because I do not want to have to justify the reason why my work history is horrible, because some people have a problem with the way I look.

Racism is a flavour of the times.
Every race think that they are the more superior, so whats wrong with being patriotic. ?
You only need to look at multicultural countries to see how each culture gravitate to their own race. And whats wrong with that, after all, people are more relaxed discussing something where there is common ground.
It's got nothing to do with "How did you feel" or "Playing sport" or "Whats your story"
Who we associate with, is a personal choice, rather than being labelled a racist for not including someone from another race, into your circle, or group.

I've experienced black on white racism
many times. Once I went to a gas
station / convenience store that is
frequented by mostly black people. One
black woman glared at me up and
down, though I hadn't opened my mouth.
Another took my change that was placed
on the counter in front of me, and started
saying demeaning things to me.
If the a******s knew what I had gone
through for not going along with
racists, they would know what a******s
they are.

My sister & I r adopted Korean girls raised in a Caucasian American family & I haven't dealt with 2 severe of racism, but here is what happened: When I was 12, I was w/ my friends @ lunch & they started making fun of the Asian club cuz they were goin 2 Magic Mountain (don't know y they'd make fun of them 4 that) & then they slanted their eyes & said ching chong... I told them I was right there but they ignored me & continued. My sister faced racism worse than me cuz she was more into social media so they told her, oh, I mean typed her things like f all Asians, go back 2 China, f u communists... & @ her school, Buchanan, they were busing a bunch of Asians from Tarpey; they said she's nothing but a bus kid even though she's not from Tarpey & 1 of her friends who's Hmong went 2 school w/ her got his car bashed; the windows were shattered, the car had dents in it & there were racist words spray painted on it. This was all at Alta Sierra Intermediate School & Buchanan High School in Clovis
