even physical appearance is a form of social capital. it sometimes determines how people will act towards you. especially in formal sectors where self-presentation is a factor if you want to invite respect. in job interviews for example, interviewers look at physical self presentation as a factor which will determine your "hire-ability" :D

Where normal work is concerned this should not be a consideration. Because of predudice in the world, unperfect looks may signal automatic dis-barment from certain social status groups such as modeling, fraternities, and other snobish organizations! What you believe of yourself is of much farther reaching consequence!

Physical appearance is not everything, it can be totally misleading. Real attractiveness is much more than that.

it's 50/50...50% i rely on my looks 50% i rely on brain. i'm old enough to be able to judge the situation and use what is most effective to get an end result.
