I have heard several reasons about why people come here to Yahoo Answers to answer other people's questions.
But what I really want to know is why you ask questions on here? And especially regarding those who ask personal questions, what motivates you to put yourself out there like that? Thanks ^-^

For example, a user with a sn "**** me", what else could be the reason for their insecurity? I am part of this generation, so don't think that I am criticising from a divided point of view, that's the ironic part of it. I just can't believe how pathetic society has grown to be. Not just women, both genders exhibit qualities of sexed-up, out of control, non-intelligent losers with no particular goal-seeking interest in life.

Why? Is this how evolution follows?

When I talk to a certain friend, and I try to explain things to him, he always tells me I suck at explaining. And I feel like I do, when I'm around him. But when I'm around other people, I explain things so well, with vivid detail. What might be wrong with me... or him?

If you're a recluse or somone who doesn't really like people, why is that? Now I know being an introvert has a lot to do with it.But is there something that makes you wanna step away from people and being social?Because for me,I've kind of just grown tired of modern cultures ways.Whether it be friendships or the sad state of "romantic" relationships and or ect.So for me Its more or else what people do and how people are that turns me off. And also I'm an introvert as well.. WHAT IS IT FOR YOU?

A lady I hardly knew was at my dad's funeral.

While I was eating she came up to me didn't even say "sorry or anything." She continued on and on at least an hour about her problems and life in general. I was already depressed about my dad and other things. Then a year later after my dad's death she starts following me at my church, and then the store I go to grocery store shopping at and the same laundromat too, and asking me strange questions, about me and my family! She was stalking me, because she lives 20 minutes away and there are plenty of stores and 2 churches where she lives.

Is she crazy or what, and what do you make of this?

She also asked me how much $$ did we get from my Dad, and does my family have to work or anything.........

Literacy levels are atrocious in the UK, people I meet and see on the television seem so ignorant and have such ill formed notions about anything beyond tabloid tat. Has there always been this amount of stupidity and ignorance and we are just giving it more publicity and 'air time' now? I'm guessing the Dickensian streets of London weren't exactly full of Einstein like minds but considering education is now free and readily available to everyone aren't we all a bit thick ?

Does being emotionally intelligent and emotionally aware help you to greater wealth? Are you more likely to succeed if you show passion and talent, rather than just skills? Does it pay the bills? Does your emotional wealth will provide a short cut to nirvana, or you're more likely to be left in the red??

I am mean think about it, what do people base that thought off of.

how are people created equal?
i don't see how because some kids are rich others are poor. some are smart and others are dumb... etc...etc. So not everyone has an equal chance at being succesful. becuase if everyone was created equal then we would all have the same skills. these skills make us unique and its our uniqueness that makes this world go around but therefore we are not created equal.

so are humans really created equal or is this just something that people want you to believe.

is there anyone who agrees with me?

if you don't then prove to me that people are created equal; i challenge you to do so.

Hi.
I just moved back to the US from Southeast Asia after 3 years.
Everybody there lived in very close proximity and you had friends and neighbors floating around 24/7.
Now that I'm back, I feel lonely a bit lonely (everything is so QUIET here) and overwhelmed when I wander through Super Target and flip throught the TV.
Is there anyone with a similar experience?
Somebody told me there was a book about this, but I can't find it on Google, does anyone know?
Thank you :)

How do you start talking to people you've ignored because of personal reasons?

I use to talk to a few people but because of personal reasons I've stopped interacting with a lot of people because I was going through a tough time and I was afraid to trust others because I didn't want to get hurt and now i feel bad and guilty because I've pushed them away. I don't know if I should start talking to them again because I don't want to seem superficial because I'm not but at the same time... I don't know I don't really know what I am doing anymore. I realize that I am a failure at life and I dont' really know what I am doing anymore
