For example, a user with a sn "**** me", what else could be the reason for their insecurity? I am part of this generation, so don't think that I am criticising from a divided point of view, that's the ironic part of it. I just can't believe how pathetic society has grown to be. Not just women, both genders exhibit qualities of sexed-up, out of control, non-intelligent losers with no particular goal-seeking interest in life.
Why? Is this how evolution follows?

My theory is that globalisation and economic growth around the world comes at a price. The price is increased competition leading to working longer hours and spending less time with the family which ultimately leads to children not getting enough attention and the right guidance. I'm generalising of course. This doesn't happen to every family.

No, but it is what happens when society puts people on a pedestal only because they are the icon of pop culture. (For example, Paris Hilton.)
We live in a world where positive news is overlooked and negative news is favored. It seems that people can turn their attention to the most shocking or riotous news in order to divert their attention away from their own lives and problems.
It is really sad. I feel the same way you do.

Yes their insecurity is one reason but the root of it is their malnourished ego. With females it is their lack of having a strong father figure to provide for her and be a protector.
I don't think that this is evolution, i think this is a sign of the human race becoming extinct because the regular human roles are disintegrating, this change may be the end to humans all together.

I think that to not be "sexed up" so to speak is the unnatural state of people. We are just humans. Your question is basically a recapitulation of the question, "How come we as a society have not been able to stop people from overtly expressing sexual desires to strangers?" The real question should be, "why do you consider certain mammals, namely humans to be out of control when they think about, attempt to attain, and express their sexuality overtly?"

Attention-seeking is a result of poor self-esteem and lack of self-respect. I teach at a residential treatment center, and our clients (students) are re-directed and gently consequenced for "attention-seeking."

Attention seeking people generally have very low self esteem, and I can't stand to be around people who are self serving and vain.

Because they are the people, who just need atention. There could be many reasons, why they want attention so bad, and who knows if they got it, when they were children.

i'm a minor and it took me awhile to get my mom to get me help and now she's knows i need it. i have also been told i was psychotic and it scared my mom. but since your 19 you don't have to ask your dad, you are allowed to get an appointment on your own. people 18 and older don't need permission anymore.
