I think the phrase means that all persons are of equal worth, and deserving of equal respect (until they screw it up for themselves).
If you have 2 children, one is healthy and the other one has Spina Bifida, do you love one more than the other?
A good parent will give each child the individual attention he or she needs...the amount and kind of attention required is different for each. So while each child has different requirements, they are of equal worth.

Spiritually: Equal (all similarly sinful, all similarly stored in the event that they receive Christ). Also all Christians have religious items in their possess, and none can also be known as higher than the opposite. Physically: Different, a few races have a TYPICALLY more potent construct or taller peak (e.g. blacks), however blanket statements are fallacies. Mentally/Emotionally: It could also be actual that a few races are, once more, TYPICALLY extra mentally adept than others. That would possibly simply be a made of schooling (Asians generally tend to head via a lot more rigorous schooling, potentially why they accomplish that good academically), however genetics might additionally come into play. Do we pass judgement on situated on those matters? If we do, it is a sin. I warranty there are Negroids, Mongoloids and Caucasoids which are smarter, more potent, quicker, et cetera than me on the planet. I don't have any thought what a character is like within by way of watching at them. All guys being created identical is effectively now not within the Bible (except you are speakme approximately sin or the thought that each one die). The variations is a influence of the autumn of mankind, degradation in genetics, and eventually sin. When guy used to be first created, of their sinless state, they might've all been identical (if Adam and Eve had propagated earlier than their fall). But it is effectively now not actual; sin has corrupted our whole race, and the bodily and intellectual results of which are oftentimes inconsistently unfold. BUT: what rather issues is that we are all similarly sinFUL, and all similarly want salvation.

I'd say no, but it has nothing to do with race, ethnicity, gender, wealth or anything like that. It just has to do with your mind. Many philosophers today say that no man today is even close to as brilliant as Socrates was. Some will say that our intelligence is closer to that of apes then to Socrates.
The only thing equail about all humans, is our right to live. Everyone should have an equail chance to live life.
* Rowan M makes a good point when you look at the physiology of people from different parts of the world.

Yes I believe we are all created equal from a purely spiritual point of view. Of course we are born into different families, some loving, some abusive, some rich, some poor BUT we are all born with both good and evil in our hearts and the CHOICE to be who we want to be! Its all about choice! Everybody has problems but our challenge to to take what we are given and rise above, become what we believe we can be! I cannot prove this to you as it is only my spiritual belief and if you look deep within you will find your own spiritual belief.

People being created equal has to do with their value. That means that each person is priceless and precious.
If you take it a step further and want to compare the gifts and talents of people, you can see that people are not "equal". On the other hand each has value. Maybe one person's strength is helping, maybe another person's is entertaining. We are all different. Equal doesn't mean we're the same, it means we all have infinite value. Each one of us is a treasure. Hopefully each of us can learn to see that in the other.
Great question, I hope my answer shares a point of view that makes sense to you. :-)

How many times have we seen, experienced, or heard of people who rose from disadvantaged beginnings to achieve more in their lives? On that point, no, people are not given equal chances when born.
All humans do have the ability to think and reason and accomplish good in their lives no matter what social standing they are. Remember that social standing and classes are really just a societal perception and a way of categorizing people.

the created equal thing is in the Declaration of Independence.
This is an old fallacy - people are not equal in ability. no argument there.
They are equal under the law of our land - we hope, at least that's our intent and dream.
They are to be treated with equal respect - until they act to lose it.
They should be given equal opportunity - but that does not mean everybody gets in to Harvard. They gotta get the SAT score and grades to qualify. nd the money to pay or get a scholarship given to them (which itself it a gift, not a right).
They should be given equal chances at living 'the good life' - but that does not means that everybody gets a Escalade SUV and a 4000 sq ft house in Malibu. They gotta earn money and buy them.
In the eyes of God, if you want to go there, I think we are seen as equally valuable - but still given differenit abilities by the same God.
Does that seem unfair? Well, fair is a totally human construct.

No humans are not created equal. But the phrase you refer to is that in the eyes of the law. In the legal system we should all be equal. Unfortunately that falls short also. But the ideal of our constitution is that under the laws of the land all are created equal with equal access to the law.

If we're talking about the term as it's used in the Declaration of Independence, then we're talking about the rights that we believe we should have as a person. If we're speaking in a general term, then no, people are different and have pretty much always have been.
