I think most people have had people come
in and out of their lives and made an impact along the way.
Not always positive, but never the less, changing us into the
people we are today. Whether it's a teacher as you mentioned or to someone who befriends us.
I have had so many people that have come into my life and
I appreciated them for the way they contributed something
valuable to me. And some who brought me pain or sorrow.
I grew from all of these people, with the knowlege that we
don't have continual happiness, or sorrow, but we must
perservere, since life goes on.
My second grade teacher, Mrs Cole, was a care giver in
the form of an elementary teacher. She truly loved children
and it radiated from her. She helped me with a sense of
security. I was a shy child and she brought me out a bit.
Another was my first boyfriend. He also helped bring me
more out of a shy state and I learned confidence from him
as well as experiencing what the pangs of love were all
about.
I have a childhood friend, who's been there for me so many
times. And we are great friends today, because of our bond.
My most recent contact is a net friend from England that
has taught me so much over the years about his country and
the travels he's made to other countries. He sends pictures
of everything he does almost. Even down to what his plate
for dinner held LOL.
Yes, I've known many people who have come in and out of
my life. And in general made me a better person, and who I
am today.

Yes, that person was a teacher. At first i hated her, but then somehow she was always there for me more than my OWN parents even in personal matters. Not to mention that she was unexpectedly honest in every subject. She had filled a huge gap in my heart that had been torn away in my childhood. And since then, I have found her a source of inspiration and a person I look up to and wish to be like!!!!It has been 9 years and we are still like mother and daughter.
If a its possible for someone to be hurt by someone or something, then it is also definite that that same person can be healed and someone or something no matter how little or simple it is!!!!

My 1st "boyfriend" changed my life forever.
He was someone i didn't realise until it was too late.
Now i'll never be able to get out of that lifestyle.
He's messed my head up so much that i dont think it'll ever be fixed.
He's made me grow up so much quicker than i needed to and made me realise a lot about the bad world that i never needed to ever know.

a professor, later boss, who really changed how I think, and indirectly lead to a job I had for 8 years (and was therefore responsible for how I spent 15 years of my life, and what my biggest commitment is now)
a friend who really had a big impact on how I think; talking to him just made me a much better thinker; and he turned me on to some great authors further effecting how I think.

Yes. I have made an impact on my own life, by making choices based on what is the best for myself and learning from my and others' successes and mistakes. If you model your life too much after one person, you will be either one-dimensional, or disappointed when they inevitably fail you.

talking to the homeless can really change anyone, they give a wide eye opening, and left you know what it's like to be homeless. they def. give you good insight, and motivation.
im in a small vol. group where we bring food to them every week. we get updates on their lives all the time, talking and listening to someone of that stature can really impact you life for the better :]
