Whats going to happen when entertainment and technology get old to people. You know sooner or later people will get tired of the whole Technology era and want somthing different. How is that going to effect things and what new things could we have?

Will they ever get rid of Affirmative Action?
All it is doing is promoting race-based hirings (which is what I thought it was supposed to prevent). It is so antiquated nowadays, I'm suprised it's still in effect. I am partly hispanic so I'm not complaining, I just think it sucks to be white.. For instance:
I work at an admissions committee at a law school- we take so many blacks and such with MUCH lower scores and reject so many whites with MUCH higher scores just to have diversity? I'd rather have the best scorers and who cares if they are from mars.

This is a mystery to me, and will never be understood.

I have to write a literature review for my social psychology class and I am having some trouble coming up with a topic. I want to do something that has to do with the self and, preferably and more specifically, self esteem. My idea is currently a little too broad, so if anyone has any ideas, please help a woman out!! Thanks.

okay all my friends think I'm a nerd. I LOVE all of the Star Wars movies and I watch star trek but only because i think its funny. I wear glasses, I have braces and I have a 4.0. I play World of Warcraft, the only time that I'm off the computer is when I'm playing on xbox or doing homework. I edit wikipedia all the time, I watch alot of anime and I'm not very social.

Some kid on here posts some racist stuff, and sure enough, white folks lining up to try to prove to everyone they're not racists...

LMAO... it's so predictable and funny. I'm white too, but I have to say, white people are rather dumb in that regard.

I think it is because of the anonimity.

I have had a yahoo account off and on for years and today I inadvertantly clicked on something and have been virtually stuck here for four hours unable to move. I have a life and things to do but here I am. I do that stuff later when normal people are sleeping, I guess. If I am not still here that is.

I am traveling for work for the next 2 weeks and I am bored silly. Yeah, that's it.

I am a reasonably sane person but this is just crazy.

i'm a reasonably attractive (not being vain) and nice person and i am certainly not paranoid but people tend to stare at me a lot, sort of like reverse paranoia, sometimes i dress high-class or talk about arty things to people and it's like they seem to be jealous or something, but they shouldn't be.

sounds confusing doesn't it??

I personally do not have a bone of predjudice in me for may reasons. To share a few, I am multi-racial, inter-racially adopted and interacially married. All answers are welcomed and encouraged so please share your thoughts. I am just curious if others see what I see. I will share my observations if that is allowed here. (I am not sure of the protocol.) If not, could someone please let me know.

the ''one drop rule'' said if you have one drop other race blood,
you are not white anymore.
but, l knew lots of '' white'' americans have Native american blood.
bass on the ''one drop rule'' l believe no one in america can
consider ''white''.

for ex. the one 1/8 asian 7/8 white
had blone hair blue eyes still an asian
that was what ''white''people told me.
