I just want to know why they do it. It makes me feel unattractive when my boyfriend does this - like he appreciates another woman more than me. Should I take it that way or am I overreacting? Sometimes he'll describe a woman as a"cute little thing with blonde hair and blue eyes" or "five feet and maybe 100 pounds". I'm 5'9" and 130 pounds with longish auburn hair and green eyes. I'm not overweight, but I'm not some cute "little" thing either and I feel like I'm being compared. I know that I look good with long legs and a nice shape, but his comments make me feel "less than". Why do men do that? I've also heard "I'd do her". I guess that's a compliment..............

I answered a question about white women over 40 being bitter and angry with the following:
I truly believe that that is about the age that we realize that we have sold ourselves out. We have given up the raising of our children (if we took the time to have them) to public daycare. We have given up our marriages for careers that will always have a glass ceiling. We have given up our privileges of being treated with dignity and respect for being treated "equal". All those things that we thought we "needed" seem very cold and empty and unfulfilling at this point.

We would like to blame it on men, again, but we made those choices. We took many steps down to become equal. It is about this age that we realize how cheaply we are selling ourselves.........and that it is really OUR fault.

Does anyone else agree with me?

Shirts, posters, bags, slippers, shoes, where you may read: "Boys are stupid, throw rocks at them!"; "Boys are smelly"; "Stupid factory: where boys are made"; "Never underestimate the stupidity of boys in larger groups"; "Boys are stupider: send them to Jupiter"; "Boys make good pets:everyone should own one"; "Boys are dumb"; "Boys are smelly:throw garbage cans at them"; "Boys are stupid:run them over"; "Boys lie:pock'em in the eye"; "Girls will be girls, and boys will be toys"; "Girls kick boys"; "Boys stink"; "Boys are stupid:bury them in sand"; "Boys need training wheels"; "Boys have smelly dog breath"; "Men are like turtles:they're slow!"...
Is this funny? What if the gender would be reversed? You know you're a model for Europe: everything from USA arrives to us! And what about males in sit-com? Why are you going on with this male-bashing? What about the male children: what about their psychology? What about males and families in the future?
Thank you!

i have used drink and drugs as a social crutch since i was 9 years old and have only just realised the full extent of my problems. whenever i am sober and in a social situation i just want to disappear - i feel like i can't express myself properly. i don't want to be a recluse.

i know that i've just got to get out there and mingle with people so that i can finally learn the social skills that i've been lacking but i'm finding it hard to keep a smile on my face.

Peter Costello suggests that Australians who live overseas do not forsake their Australian values, while suggesting that migrants who come to Australia are expected to do so. The Government recently proposed that migrants ought to be tested on Australian values before they are granted citizenship.

This is not my plan. I am home with a young baby but since I have been home I have noticed a huge stigma against stay at home moms, especially those with kids over 3. There seems to be a lot of pressure to place them in child care and be a contributing member of society. There is frowning upon for living off ones husband. My mother was a homemaker and did not work outside of the home, her friends were also homemakers and this did not happen... What happened to the importance of family life and the homemaker???

I hv a frnd who didnt care for me as much as I cared for her. She knows I love talking to her but she always showed me like she is busy and its hard for her to talk to me but still she used to talk and it made me feel like a burden on her.
I was always there in her time of need but I rarely found her when I needed her.
I was hurt by all this so 1 day I told her that its not necessary to talk daily and she agreed after that I stopped texting her suddenly.
Till now she didnt ask me, y? She knows something is wrong but she didnt ask me what? Today she told me that I can text her at anytime and its not a prob for her to talk to me.
There was a time when she used to find difficult talking to me and nw she asked me to msg her whenevr I want to.
What do u think is she bothered by my avoiding attitude? Does she started missing me? Idont want to lose her. I feel bad ignoring her. Do u think she got it that i have some prob by her. How can I hint her that I am hurt by her. plz plz help.
