no, i don't think i am. though i've taken an implicit association test (IAT) which claimed i was slightly biased by race (which is baffling to me because i'm asian myself).
however, i was followed home once by a guy, who was obviously of a particular background which i won't mention, & the experience frightened me so much that in the following weeks when i saw a person of the same background i'd freeze up straight away. a month or so ago a similar thing happened & i find myself acting the same way.
which is funny, because i've had older, overweight, caucasian men repeatedly make disgusting suggestions to me & i've never jumped when i've seen one of them around, so subconsciously i think i do connect stereotypes & race. i'm not sure, it might have something to do with there being a certain anonymity being caucasian, while any kind of ethnicity makes a person more likely to be associated with a stereotype.
in any case i've never consciously held other races to be 'below' me & feel more the opposite, i think a person's culture makes them more intriguing & i find certain physical features in every race to be really attractive too. it's actually difficult to believe any person could hate an entire race of people just for being what they are!

I think everyone gets poisoned by society to be some how racist. I remember, when I was a little girl not to have this feeling, but we learn about to discriminates others in lectures and school too. The way that Africans were brought to America and how they were seem as an under race, made me feel sorry for those people I knew at that time that were black, I didn't want them to know anything about it and I didn't want them to see any movie about slavery on TV.
I think you are right when you say that society leads people to discriminate.
Every time I find myself with this racist feeling, I try not to let it control me. I tell to myself: this is racism and it is ignorance, you are educated, so don't behave like a rude ignorant person, that doesn't know anything about life".
I give chance to socialize with everyone, its up to the person to make themselves look good or bad.
Unfortunately American society has a tendency to categorize everything, include people and this brings discrimination. Organizations and order has nothing to do with category. A society can be organized without being divided by categorization. Categorization is a result of lack of knowledge about something that leads to place things and people based on a superficial view or in a first impression. I can't tell how many times I got wrong about someone that I didn't know well just by the look.

I'm not a racist. there are no races.
example: the Jews were an African tribe (black) that migrated north into Egypt, where they were usually treated as an underclass. over time, many Jews 'mixed' with Egyptians, and over a thousand yrs., their skin color lightened somewhat. then most Jews migrated to the Mideast, mixed and lightened more. over the last 2000 yrs. most Jews migrated to Greece, Russia, all over Europe. now a large number of Jews have blond hair and blue eyes, while other Jews who didn't leave Egypt are still black. one tribe, one bloodline, all colors. they're also susceptible to the African illness, sickle cell anemia.
Also, if you get in a jeep in central Africa and begin driving north, stopping at each town and village, each townspeople you encounter look substantially like the residents of the previous town. you'll stop a thousand times, always thinking that this tribe or townspeople look the same as the last, yet in the end, you'll be in Norway where everyone has blond hair and blue eyes. Where did one race end and the next begin? it never did!
we are tribal. nationalism, racism, sexism, etc. are all forms of tribalism; an instinctive need to create 'us vs. them' conditions. A noticeable difference in skin color tells us that the other person isn't 'one of us'.
tribalism is an attribute of conservatism. all tribes and nations have conservatives who can't let go of the 'us vs. them' mentality. tribalism and conservatism need to be checked in order for any group to become progressive and civilized.

There are certain characteristics that can apply to the majority of most races. But knowing this and applying it to your social interactions is wrong. One should always evaluate a person as an individual.
No I am not a racist.

I am not a racist .
But when it comes to gender I am very selective. for I will not lip lock a guy and let me assure you I will violently react to any male that tries to flirt seduce or suggest any form of sexual innuendo towards me.
Preconceived notions about females Hell no
Strip them all naked stand em on their heads and they all look like sisters.

Not conditioned but learned from experiences. Bad experiences create racism. I try not to dwell on the experience or stereotype. But not an easy task.
