Do you believe that modern societies have more intelligent people than ancient societies?

No, I do not. We have advanced in technology, & information, but the human mind is the same. Living longer (through technology) does not prove increased intelligence. Look back into history, & you'll see that humans are behaving exactly as they always did, simply using different methods. The human condition has not changed.

Edit: There is a vast difference between "intelligence" & "knowledge."

The average intelligence level in modern society I think is probably higher, for example in ancient societies not everyone knew how to read. However in modern society, I think people are often ungrateful of the knowledge and education provided and does not take advantage of it.
I think the most intelligent modern person is more intelligent than the most intelligent ancient person, one of the reasons is modern knowledge is built off the knowledge of the past, meaning the modern person has more to work with if they wanted to be more intelligent.

Its kind of hard to determine what an ancient society is and what a modern society is. If there are natives that still live in a jungle and act very primitive, one could almost conclude that they just arrived on this planet and haven't learned a damn thing yet. They say man started in Africa, but if that were true, why were they so primitive compared with their white counterparts of Europe? None of it makes any sense except that modern societies existed in primitive times and there are different lineages in man.

I think there are the same amount of really smart people, but today there are many more people in general, which means more stupid people than in earlier times.
