okay all my friends think I'm a nerd. I LOVE all of the Star Wars movies and I watch star trek but only because i think its funny. I wear glasses, I have braces and I have a 4.0. I play World of Warcraft, the only time that I'm off the computer is when I'm playing on xbox or doing homework. I edit wikipedia all the time, I watch alot of anime and I'm not very social.

All the people that are out beating themselves up today will work for you one day.
I have never met a "boss" figure that was NOT a Nerd in their own right. People that dont follow rules lose every time. Keep up being yourself and spending time bettering yourself, through laughter and education and you will have nothing to fear.

WOW! You edit Wikepedia - that's pretty cool. To answer your question: You are not a nerd you are a very interesting person. Stay that way. The best way to start being social is to hang out with family members your age. Go out to different places and when you become comfortable, start making new friends. Good luck and relax. Enjoy every minute of your life. Remember People come first, things second. Learn to value that, but most important VALUE YOURSELF. God made you this way, because you have so much to share with the world. Continue to do so, and thank you I am constantly on wikipedia.com. Peace.

Everything you listed can be considered symptoms of nerdism. But like Mr. Rogers always said, "You're special in your very own unique way." (Now that I think about it, he was basically calling us retards)... What I'm trying to say is that nerds are cool people too. Even though I don't know jack about advanced physics and computer science...
I went through a total Trekkie phase and still watch every now and then, but i don't think of myself as a "geek" because of that.
But maybe get out a little bit every now and then. Exercise is good for you. All those honors/AP classes and being cooped up at home can drive a person crazy eventually.

Well ok you fit the nerd stereotype but that doesnt mean your an outcast (goths) it just means you...well are basically like me. However if you start running up to people with a small stick in your hand yelling "backstab, sinister strike, eviscerate" then yeah you need to grip a hold of reality. Other than that, no your not a nerd, your more or less like me (socially challenged).

Perhaps, but who cares. You are doing all the things you love, and not trying to 'fit in' with today's behavior norms. I think that is cool. I wish I would have been like that when I was younger. I spent so much trying to make sure no one thought I was a nerd, that I missed out on all the things I loved. So...like I said, maybe you could be classified as a nerd, but you are yourself and that is rewarding.

U could become more of a social person so you're not called a nerd anymore. I think u could start by using contact s and stop with the world of warcraft its creepy.

Yes, indeed you are a nerd...but don't worry nerds are the ones who make the most money when they grow up and get all the hot girls...so don't stress it too much if someone calls you a nerd because the person calling you that will be the one cleaning your car, cutting your grass, cleaning your pool,
and cleaning your house when you grow up...so smile and know that in the end you'll be better than them....ha ha ha!!!!!

wow yea...i have a feeling that you can tottaly try out for beauty and the geek (of course no offence, its just that stereotypically those guys do all that). braces many people have, same with glasses. you can get contacts if you want. on wikipeadia depending on what you're editing, its not nessesarly nerdy. the star wars and star trek stuff, just don't get carried away with it and start learning klingon or whatever *rolls eyes* and don't over watch them. anime many people watch. just try to get to know more people and be more social i guess too =D

If you were a guy I would say that like the majority of people answering questions in this section (myself included) you are a nerd. I am unsure if girls can really be nerds. There weren't any girl nerds in Revenge of the Nerds. Quite the conundrum.

Yes, your a nerd.
If you want to remain one, that's ok too.
I do recommend you get out from behind your computer and X-box and get involved in the real world-community. You need communications and social skills to fucntion in the world and your not going to get that from an X BOX.
Nerds need to get as involved as anyone else. Your 4.0 gpa is useless to anyone wiuth low social skills, unless you plan on sitting in a dark room programming computers all your life and that's ok, but probably not fullfilling.
