Sociology - December 2006

Today, as I was sitting in a corner during lunch wiping my red, running nose, playing with my gameboy and not giving a damn about the fact that I was wearing my pajamas, two layers of thermal underwear, huge glasses and with my hair in an unkempt ponytail with hairs flying every which way.....along comes an upperclassman, looking shy and telling me he noticed me coming in and thinks I'm pretty and wants my contact info! o_0

Now, this happens to me all the time. On days when I feel great and dress nicely, I get no attention from boys whatsoever. But on days when I think I could break a mirror, I get attention right and left.

Why is this? Are there guys who have a fetish for sickly, frumpy girls or is this a cosmic conspiracy to boost my self esteem on days when I'm feeling down-in-the-dumps?

I saw a News on TV. One woman somewhere in the States said she dismissed muslims, arabs and the other non american - ethnicities, cause they are parasites for white people.

I was realy shocked and pretty sad to hear that insultment cause Iam not american. So what do we in Europe or Britain think about it ?

You can find me in the back corner of the classroom, keeping to myself..the typical loner.. and the most difficult thing is talking to people, it's like I want to but I just feel pressured and nervous...and im not a good conversationalist at all... Does anyone know any steps I could take to help me open up? It's really weird.. I get obbsessive over anything I like in the least bit.. then over time I eventually get over obbsessed.. and my familys like my god! just stop getting so obbsessed with everything! I've gotton obbsessed with alot of diffrents bands, my guitar, a video game, and a few people ( which is the main reason I want to stop, cause I know its creepy)

1) is this normal?

2) how do I stop... how do u get a good balace without getting totally obbsessed and crazy about something?
