Oh, geez, ignorant people have been perpetuating stereotypes for millenia! OK, here's a few:
People with glasses are smarter than people without glasses.
Men are smarter/stronger/more mechanically minded than women.
Women are more caring/nurturing/loving than men.
Children should always be in the custody of their mothers because mothers are the "better" parents.
are lazy or stupid. (e.g. All the "Pollock" jokes making fun of Polish people.)
Men should earn more money than women.
All gay men dress nicely.
All lesbians dress like men and have short, mannish haircuts.
I trust you get the picture...

Can't find a lot??
lol, trust....they're alllllllll over the 'net!
As always, one excellent source is Wikipedia - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Stereotype
The article goes into depth about stereotypes based on both fictional and non-fictional people and groups...
Here is some more information about them - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Stereotypes
And finally, here is another really excellent and interesting website I've run across several times throughout the years while doing research for various classes or, just in my own personal interest...
http://www.authentichistory.com/diversity/
The overall site is broken into categories of all of the major time eras and periods in the last century or so.....showing a whoooooooooole lot of images of advertising and propaganda, from wars to movements and so forth...
...But the "diversity" section is probably one that you might be most interested in - and one that I've always found the most interesting. It shows a plethora of images, memorabilia, and whatnot of Native American, African & African-American, Hispanic, Asian, Jewish, and Arab people over the past century or so portrayed in negative, silly, and/or degrading manners - more than likely feeding into the perpetuation of stereotypes throughout time, since media has such a great influence...whether we know or like to admit it or not.
But anywho - hope that helps!! If not or if you're looking for more, just type "stereotypes," "stereotype list," or any other word you might want to use in association with that concept into Yahoo's search engine and you should have no problem!

Stereotyping is inevitable. But it is as much as the character approximately approximately whether or not they pass judgement on the humans off of the stereotype or whether they get to grasp the character earlier than they pass judgement on them. I suppose approximately the stereotype of humans always (that child is emo, that one is punk and many others.) however I check out to not affirm that during my head till I relatively get to no them. Other humans suppose those matters, then continue to behave and pass judgement on at the stereotypes. So Stereotypes are well for figuring out approximately the character's external look and the way they convey themselves, however they do not preserve the actual character, for that you simply ought to dig deeper.

ie: Jews: Long noses and tight pocketbooks, hate chrsitians and moslems, all mostly false.
Polish: stupid and easily misled, falsehoods.
Italian: evertyhing from all with braided armpits to members of the mafia: untrue
Blacks: criminals, dirty, big mouthed, carry weapons: untrue. mostly...

Weight, race, age, gender are all things people base stereo-types off of. People use them because they have not been exposed to many people.
