Does it sicken you that a person convicted of stealing can get more time than someone who is convicted of molesting a child? It completely pisses me off. Where my sister lives... a person convicted of using drugs gets more prison time than someone convicted of rape... what is wrong with our legal system!!!?

I went out on a friends hen night recently (that’s a bachelorette party for anyone outside of the UK) and after many hours of drinking, dancing and stumbling around town failing to find a taxi, the evening finally ended with a group of us squatting down in an alleyway for a much needed pee! I mentioned this in passing to some colleagues at work when we were discussing our respective weekends, expecting them to find it a humorous incident, but instead they reacted with disgust at my ‘unladylike conduct.’ The colleagues in question were male. Since their attitude is pretty clear, I would like to know what other women think of what I did and, if they have ever done the same thing after a night on the tiles, how people responded to their behaviour?

There should be fairly objective conditions that we can all specify, or at least social scientists are able-- who will provide the justification to take a child out of custody anyway.

Are miserable children, indoctirinated children, abused and negected people ever desireable in their own right? How do the responsibilities involved in driving surpass those involved in parenting so much that testing is required, but not in the case of parenting?

It need not be terribly draconian-- simply if you have a child without passing the test you must pay a fine until you pass the exam.

Many of the answers here on YA! seem to use Darwinism, and social Darwinism to bring to our attention that we behave in ways because of studies based on animals ...

While a good portion of the answers say anamals behave that way and we should act better than animals.

Plenty of women are obsessed with fashion and clothes. Why is this more accepted than something like a guy who collects action figures? Clothes do not raise in value, and most women only wear something a few times before it's outdated. Action figures have gotten to the point where they are like small sculptures, so why is one hobby looked down on and the other accepted?

One thing that has troubled me is the viewpoint that when a man's sexuality is forcibly compromised, he is considered gay, however the aggressor isn't.

If one man wrestled another man down into a compromising position or had his buddies help him, it seems to me that the agressor had a preference for that man in lieu of a woman.

It's much easier to find a woman willing to have sex than it is to fight with an unwilling man. Therefore, why isnt the agressor in the situation considered to be gay? He sure seems to want another man more than the victim does.
