Plenty of women are obsessed with fashion and clothes. Why is this more accepted than something like a guy who collects action figures? Clothes do not raise in value, and most women only wear something a few times before it's outdated. Action figures have gotten to the point where they are like small sculptures, so why is one hobby looked down on and the other accepted?

Because of the power of marketing!! There is a huge industry that has probably the greatest marketing, that is precisely the fashion industry, that tells the world what's "in" and what's not (with the help of the movie and tv industry). And of course, since they are the ones that set the trend, they have to say that fashion is "in".
And thanks to that the world is becoming more frivolous each day, and people judge you for the way you look, so "fashionable" clothing has become central in many people's lives. It's so disgusting!
I'm a woman, and I can tell you that I have more respect for someone that collects action figures than for someone that collects clothes.

If it makes you feel better to constantly have to compare and conclude that whatever you do is of more value than what others do, I suggest you run around naked with your action figures. After that you might be tempted to collect things of real value in life and maybe even thereafter.
The value of clothes could be the difference between getting a job or not that goes without saying. But would you bring your action figures to a job interview or even bring them up? There is a time of value for everything, just get that straight.
But hey if I see you run around naked with a bunch of action figures stringed around you I will simply know that you're perfectly happy.

Plenty of women are obsessed with clothes and plenty are not, y stereotype...lots of men don't collect "toys" and lots do, I guess it's looked down upon cause it seems kinda childish...but if it makes u happy and or money than what do u care?

Because women think they're better than men. Interestingly, women have yet to figure out that men don't even care how they dress.
