i have bpd, im 30 years old...im trying at the moment to get the right treatment & help for my disorder..which ive had since 15.
ive battled through endless trauma most of my life.

i just want to work on my disorder, so i can leave britain & build a new life....my ultimate aim is to emigrate either back to france or further out, somewhere far off & hot.
this is my prime ambition in life & something i have to do.
at the moment though i feel stuck, like im not going anywhere or it will be to difficult to accomplish my goals & im very depressed.
however. i feel i have haters here, that want to play mind games with me. patronize & undermine me.hamper my hopes in life.
because ive encountered alot of people like this.
people who maybe want to rubbish me as a person.

& recentley ive got the notion, that all these people are happy & relaxed & laughing amoungst themselves...because they know im never going anywhere, ill never leave the uk.

how can i handle this tormenting feeling?

I am a student up in the North and I feel very depressed when the winter comes because of the extended darkness. I live where there will be only 4 hours of day light in the middle of the winter (I am in Norway). I had experienced one winter last year, which was horrible. I want to avoid depressions this time. Is there anyone out there who can tell me what to do to avoid or decrease depressions?
Thanks.

How much could a therapist make an hour if the therapist has an LCSW? What are the drawbacks of having your own private practice? How difficult is it dealing with insurance companies who pay most or all of the bill for the client? Many MSW's work for agencies instead of opening up a private practice, what is the reason for this?Could you also include what state you are from. Thanks!

hello. i'm a teenager, but i'm a bit childish. i'm a shy girl. and am a bit sensitive. i don't like judging people (for me everybody's beautiful) so i observe them most of the times, and try to understand why they're like that. too much observation caused me to forget to talk. i can communicate better written than oral. i don't get the point of speaking if you're already too late. do you think i can come over with my shyness? do you think i'm rotten or something?

A couple of months ago I had begun to like/ admire someone at work; envy, if you will. But envy in a positive manner. He always -- smiled. He was friendly, he never complained, or anything of that sort.

Then one day, I was at work, wondering where he was, somewhat waiting. A moment later, I heard the door open, a girl was crying; he had committed suicide.

So what is the value of a smile?

Is it just a false pretense?

What purpose does it serve?

I have developed a theory that either look of woman's feet and the way she cares about them reflect her personality.

I noticed a flat square nail on the big toe refelcts warm person, caring. On the other hand narrow nail is usually connected to anxious person.

Other thing is the length of the toes compared to the big one as well as the angle between the foot itself and a line connecting all the small toes. I am in research phase in this.

Other thing, this is probably a reflection of mood, is the color of nail polish. As darker as worse mood.

Have you noticed something similar? Can you help me in reasearch? By describing your feet and personality?

This thought crossed my mind several months ago. Do you always return missing items you know are lost? Or do you keep them if you know no one will find out you have it? Do you keep merchandise sent to someone else but it ends up at your door? I tend to subscribe that people are as honest as they have to be. Your thoughts on this.

Not the obvious lucky, like winning the lottery. More like when they refer to something in your personal life, be it a solid marriage, healthy kids, a good job, a nice house, or whatever. I know its only a figure of speech, and most people seem genuine in expressing that I should know to be grateful. Sometimes, though, from certain people, or they way a person puts it, makes me feel like they somehow think I am undeserving of what they feel is my good fortune. I'm not the type of person to really let anyone's opinions get to me, but this statement always makes me hesitate a minute before I respond.

Does anyone else feel this way when someone says to you "You're lucky to ________."? If so, how do you respond?

Nowadays, we use the little four letter words to describe most of our emotions, like sh*t and f*ck, and to describe other people. Before, we used to use nice metaphors and comparisons. We blame the lack of modern creativity on televisions and such, but in reality, we just don't use it in our everyday language. What do you think?
