I do it by doing things that help others, regardless of the situation. I've found that by giving, at the same time I'm receiving. It's VERY rewarding. The more I give, the more I receive...AA has a "slogan" I always keep in mind, "you've got to give it away in order to keep it " It DOES WORK in all situations I'm familiar with.

Get involved in activities where you are doing something worthwhile and also in the center of all the activity. Something that is also good is to practice up on public speaking - join toastmasters. You have different topics that you have to write and give speeches on & then a panel of judges discuss the strengths and weaknesses as well as what you should focus on. You are definitely the center of attention and it is something that at some point in your life will be very useful.

Actually, I think you'll find that you feel great if you stop worrying about yourself and pay attention to others. For example, if you spend time with some senior citizens, take cookies to a neighbor, help children with their homework, or otherwise do some community service and help others, you'll feel a sense of satisfaction. Just try it and you'll see what I mean.

Once a great doctor was angry with me because I should take better care than I was - or so he thought, and yes was right. At a certain point he said something I never forgot: when we are kids we are used to be gifted, cherished by our beloved ones. When we grow up we think we don't need it "we're not kids anymore"..... what a big and stupid lie!!!!!
