I think a lot of "Good guys" are just trying to fly under the radar of life so to speak. They're trying to get by without encountering any more trouble than they must. I think a better name for them is "Nice guys." They don't want to rock the boat or cause trouble. They want "peace" at any cost. But it's a harmful lifestyle that hurts themselves, their spouses and kids. It's passivity, selfishness, and it's sick! A lot of these types either marry dominate women who rule their homes or they abdicate their leadership roles and responsibilities out of fear. They let their wives take on masculine roles and they hide behind their skirts. It's pathetic! No one wins when this happens. There's also a lot of single "Nice guys" out there too.
The good guys are the ones that are proactive and involved even when it means they may get some major flack for it.

As to your question, No. I think Mr. Good guys just have good attitudes and like helping others. They are team players. I would expect someone who feels henpecked would have a lot of repressed anger. I would expect a man who feels henpcked would be less helpful and friendly. As to the guy you say you know, he may be "henpcked" he may feel stuck in his position in life. He could also be a person who was never encouraged to express any imagination, or worse, punished for showing imagination when he was a child. One can never know the reasons that humans behave the way they do in general. Each case is specific to that person. Maybe modes of behavior statistically show consistensy along a range in a continuum but nailing down pat reasons for why people are the way they are is impossible.
