between Envy and jealousy or is it the same thing?

2007-08-30 02:25:05 · 12 answers · asked by Ice queen 3

I am not stupid and I certainly understand that my personal fear has no rational point but I'm just terrified of people and what they think of me. I am a 24 year old girl and I don't shop, if I have to shop for something it's an ordeal simply because I assume EVERYONE is looking at me, laughing at me and generally judging me unfairly.
I know it steams from my years at academy and I must have built up almost a phobia but knowing this doesn't help me now. It can actually be quite crippling and I can get stressed to the point of tears. For me this is not normal, I am a very strong willed person and I wholeheartedly stick up for the rights of the under dog all the time but when it comes to me, Im a whimpering mess.
I'm not telling my pathetic sob story but i was wondering if anyone had experience getting over this kind of thing? I have been thinking hypnotherapy for a while but I'm assuming most of them are hacks? I guess I cant get Paul McKenna though.
I'd appreciate any pointers.
thanks

suppose that your job is :

very stressfull,
less paid (like pocket money),
multidisiplinary ,
time consuming,
the places are dirty,
unfair,
it is your supplementary work (like spare time work -not your main profession).

what should i consider before quitting this kind of job ? i cant decide what to do because i got accustomed to be there for a long time.

shall i give a break or resign forever ?

i have a right to give a break in theory, but my managers wont be happy with it and probably they will make psychological pressure on me by saying "you shoudlnt have given a break. couldnt you continue 1 day in a week ? it is very negative point for you. your abilities wont improve during the break." etc. they will interpose the same thigns when i came back too.
they expect you to devote yourself to that thing. i ve other needs and my nerves arent made of iron. those caprices will hurt me. so i thought it is better to quit it forever.

what do you think ?

Has anyone felt like that they are one person....with a set of characteristics, but cannot express them because of their physical appearance? For example i want to be someone socialable and get to know lots of people...but i feel like my appearance makes me look unapproachable and non-conversational. I'm a big fan of sports and use to play football and basketball for the A grade team for all my junior years but failed to make a grade team in senior years where all my friends went to because my body didnt grow like they did...Everytime i go out with my friends, i feel like im the black sheep....All my friends are the tall, athletic good looking types and im something else. When all my friends get invited to parties i never do, because i guess im not as memorable. It's carving me up...and now i have no ambitions for the future and feel like my life is on a decline from now on....

Its been six months+ since ex left me for a guy that i know and its eating away at me everyday, i cant get it out of my mind, i think about her constantly and think about her with him and it makes me sick, i love her still and really miss her. we've had no contact after the break up and i constantly wonder if i'll see her and if she'll call me, she did call me at 130 in the morning and play our song down the phone to me, although she withheld the number, it was her a noone else would do that and noone would have known to play that song apart from her.

All i keep hearing about from people is how he taking her on holiday ect..... it drives me mad and i just keep having visions of tem together, its like i'm torturing myself, maybe i'm punishing myself for failing.

I just ned some advice on how i can get over this obsessive thoughts process that seems to be going on in my head its making me ill and taking over my life, actually i haven't been myself for a long long time.

While I'm completely obsessed with Grey's Anatomy, and this is a very old topic on the show, are there any people out there who get very aggrivated with Cristina's contempt towards Finn for being a veterinarian? Why do some people have this negative attitude towards veterinary medicine? It is in itself a medical specialty, and veterinarians study more than one kind of anatomy. It's a medical profession dependent entirely on your skills because the patient cannot speak for themselves. While Cristina can be funny, she can also be ... frickin annoying as hell. Veterinary medicine is noble and extremely gruelling. Her attitude sucks. And for those out there who take it upon themselves to accomplish the difficult task of pointing out the obvious to the world: yes, I do realize that Grey's Anatomy is just a TV show. I'm just using it as an example.
