The reason a lot of women don't go for the nice guy is rooted in human instinct. Nice guys are kind and gentle, and as studies and common sense have shown make much better life-long partners. However, the cocky asshole appeals to women on a primal level. Cocky and aggressive behavior is a sign of high levels of testosterone. High levels of testosterone are attractive to women at a sub-conscious level because it holds a greater promise of stronger off-spring.
I know it seems like something we should be able to overcome, but we really are just walking, talking animals. We're effected as much by horomones and instinct just as much as any other animal, we simple don't realize it or like to admit it. There is a glimer of hope though. Generally, as women reach their mid and late twenties, their horomones are less in control and they realize that the nice guy is the way to go!

Cokezero; I hate beating around the bush, often times I will not be gentle. I want you to listen to me very closely: Stop being angry at yourself! People sense that. The angrier you become the more they will stay away. You also don't respect yourself; another big no no. You want people to respect you; you have to respect yourself; otherwise it's a no go. Listen, I'm no Buddhist, yet Buddhist had a really good saying. When we are born some are given stones. Some are given jewels. The best person is the one who can turn stones into jewels. You have to work with what you have, hone it until it's ready to do your bidding. To perfectly honest with you is the very first thing I was going to say was, so if everyone else is going to jump off a bridge you're gonna do the same thing. Never care what other people think and, or do, they are not living your life; you are.

Do you mean why doesnt nice guys get any dates??? Normally it is because they are so skinny and to smart for a dumb blond girl that the lights are on but nobodys home. As far as accepting them...I do

A nice woman will so accept a nice guy, but not a wimp. A woman wants to be handled sometimes. I'm not saying like a cave man handles woman, but it's important for a man to be a man. A woman wants to see strength in there men that's why women are drawn to thugs. As silly as it my seem thugs do have strength.

Nice guys are the best. After having dated a bad boy I realized I would never date one again.

Good,bad or indifferent,every thing gets acceptance with the right kind of marketing and salesmanship. Being only nice isn't good enough but should be accompanied by the proper efforts to influence people and make friends.

nice gets perceived as week sometimes. and a lot of times that's all it is. some situations clearly call for less than nice and if you can't demonstrate the ability to be hard when it's called for, than you seem week.

I agree totally!!! Girls are the worst they never give you us the time of day. Then they gripe about why this guy or that guy treats them bad. Well DUH they were jerks to start out with and you thought that would change after you got with them? Nice guys do get the crap end of the stick in life for some reason.
