I am having a hard time with trust b/c I was in an emotional/mentally abusive marriage. I am physically out of that situation now. The worse thing about this is I don't trust anyone. I am more suspicious than normal. I don't trust ANYONE. I am paranoid. What can I do to learn trust again. How do I have faith in people again?

Right now I'm supposed to be doing my paper on the effects of Vietnam, instead of that I'm on here. I do this whenever I have to do real work.

So, I've been depressed for a few months, and it was mostly because of two issues. A major conflict with my cousin, and the fact that I just realized that I was a lesbian. BUT, for complicated reasons, which I explained in a question in the LGBT section, I was concerned that I was lying to myself about my sexuality, and that it was a phase I was going through to numb my feelings about the thing with my cousin.

However, this all got very jumbled and confused because of this dream I had last night. It was about my depression, and the causes of it, and how I was going to help myself fix the depression. I don't specifically remember specifics, (you know how it is after you wake up from a dream, and it slowly fades from memory) but I do remember the gist of it, and the feeling I had afterwards.

Basically, it was like I could see myself, but I was myself, and resolved things with my cousin completely, so much that we were actually friends again, and then I came out publicaly.

I don't consider myself an alcoholic. I only drink when my thoughts get so heavy and I don't want to feel. I do not do this everyday. When i do drink, I drink very heavily. It seems to help ease the pain of having to think about my situation. I try to focus on anything but my pain. I even try to help other people so I don't have to think about myself. Is this normal? Am I becoming an alcoholic?

what can it mean,i know she was abused by her father when she was a child. This is the dream i have .I have had a reocurring nightmare and last night was the worst i was soaked with sweat i seemed awake but could not move,it felt as if some one was slashing me or harming me some how. Then i woke up later on and all i could see was, This tunnel with you at the end of it with the light shinning behind you and me calling out to you and reaching out.But you would not reply and i was getting further down the tunnel and you and the light were fading away with me still calling and reaching outfor you .Then things changed i had become you as a young girl, you was holding a teddy bear and you was in the tunnel and you was calling out and trying to reach out, there was a figure with the light behind it,but i dont know who it was i think it was your dad it may of been me im not sure.

Come on brag a little. I'm giving you the chance to. I wanna know what you think of yourself overall, inside and out. What do you want to change about yourself if any?

I'm nice, layed back but also stressed, pretty, smart, skinny on the outside, I hate my 'I had a kid stomach', I know I can be a smart a*s, I know I can be a b*tch, I know I could do better, I know I'm a pain in the a*s sometimes when I'm mad, I know I go through a lot for my age. Um, that's pretty much what I think of myself. So now it's ur turn............

Okay-The picture was taken from the Association for Psychological Type IX International Conference.
It is an artist`s interpretation of Extraverted thinking, feeling, intuition, and sensation, as well as these for introverts.
For example, a title for a pic may be "Extraverted feeling" and the pic will be right next to it.
Let me describe the pics: For Ex feeling it has a rainbow with tiles. Intro feeling= a leaf on the surface of water with golden thread beneath it. Intro sensing= showing the parts of an apple . Extra sensing=an apple core on a napkin. Extra thinking= a fort/playhouse being built.
There are other pics but if you know what poster I`m talking about than can you tell me how I can get a copy? Do they make it any more?

Has anyone else who's ever been bullied still been affected by it years later? I was bullied by a girl for 10 years but she got away with it, and because of her her family and friends treat me like dirt and I still get crap from them (but not her) even though she hasn't bullied me for about 10 years. Most of the time I couldn't care less, but every now and then I get days when it's the only thing on my mind and I can't stop the memories. I feel so angry about the whole situation, in particular the problems I've had since she stopped bullying me, and there are times when I would gladly kill her. All I ever did was tell the truth about her bullying me and for that I've had harassment from her family for almost the same amount of time that she bullied me. She's a married mother now and I have to wonder if her two sons are going to be fed the same lies and start getting on at me like the rest of her family does. I'm just about ready to explode, psychologically.

I have to write a paper in my psychology class on any given disorder, as long as it can start in early childhood and possibly last thru out the life span. I want to do something interesting, that I can find information on, but not something so popular that 5 others in my class will be chosing the same topic. Any ideas?? Thanks!

Why are they so addicited to video games that have you gain money that you'll never really use. Like my cousin, he plays scions of fate and he only kills stuff so he can get money to open a store so he can sell stuff so he can get a better weapon to kill stuff to open another store to sell more stuff to get money. He spends 12 hours a day on the weekends on his computer. He plays 5 hours after school. Now he thinks he has a GF online. But i found out that "she" was really a man after reading "her" profile.

She also turns to alchohol whenever she is feeling down, which is more and more often. She comes to me for guidance, but, I am at my wits end! If I had the means, I would pay for her to speak to a professional, but, sadly, that is not the case. She too does not have the financial means to speak to anyone that can help her. It is horrible watching someone you care about self destruct before your very eyes. Does anyone know of any low income or sliding scale resources that I could suggest to her? As, I mentioned earlier, alcohol is a huge problem, but, I think that speaking to a counselor in order to identify and resolve all her issues of past family abuse, low self esteem, feelings of self doubt and worthlessness, and a general feeling of "miserable" to use her words, would be the first step in healing for her. Also, does anyone know of any self help books to suggest? She was in a much better place mentally in college, but, since moving here to LA, she is crashing. Please help.

about how much the media at large seems to view us through the microscope? The way the media microscope covers every cell of our bodies? Right up the vaggy waggy!?

They inspect our fangita's inside out - report and publish endless pictures, studies and psychological effects about our mammary glands.... but they still don't know what makes us physiologically different to men as far as orgasms are concerned!

I'm fed up of having my body hypothetically explored, I'm fed up of having my body, as a woman, being subject to so many generalisations.

I'm also fed up of men not having the same coverage ... how do you feel?
