WHAT?? What are his parents doing when he's playing video games? They need to monitor him and give him a time limit to when he has to stop playing. I don't know why kids play those kind of video games...i used to play video games a lot when i was little, but the rated "E" kind. They think its fun and yes it is very addictive because the goal is to complete the game and they want to achieve that goal. Now about the online Gf...you know what? get your cousin to do things outside like play basketball or something. Get him active and playing outside and challenge his mind with some checkers or chess (not online checkers lol). Maybe he'll meet a girl in his neighborhood if he does outside activities, she could see him. HOW old is this cousin of yours anyways?
DO everything and anything with your cousin that doesn't involve technology (even though, and i have to say 4 myself, it is the best...but maybe not)...help a cousin out...i mean this video game stuff can turn him into a killer/stealer (a thug)...not good at all

Money is status, whether in a game or in reality. You can't get much without it, and that's why he's after ingame money all the time. Ingame money enhances the gaming experience by making the game easier, and the change of weapons/armor is like getting a new backpack, or new clothes. It's refreshing, hehe.
BUT on the other hand, it looks like he's taking his love for videogames much too far. Online dating is unbelievably dangerous. =( And he's playing this game WAY too much. I think you need to talk to him, because he can't spend his whole life on a game, and ingame relationships will only hurt him.

I believe that kds r addicted to this centuries animations or so called "video games" because when children play video mes they have a state of mind that they are actually in the game but it could also mean that the kids think that the video games have a situation on life.

You really need to get him off those games. A GF online? My god I have seen addictions, but a GF online? Tell him to get a real girlfriend. Sounds like he isn't doing his homework if he's putting in 5 hours after school. Restrict him to weekends only, and if he has projects to do or something to study for, he must do that too. Monitor him, you don't want him to become accustomed to being a lazy bum.

Wow... that is really messed up. Kids can really get emersed in these games, and it's really hard to get them interested in the real world again. I think that this sounds like a very un-healthy level of game play though... surely someone can get him involved in a hobby or afterschool program that is more productive than 40+ hours a week lost playing video games.

Usually because they are bored. The game that you described sounds like MapleStory. I used to play it, but I quit for the exact reasons you listed. It is a waste of time. He does it probably because he is bored and there is nothing else to do. And online games are very addictive.

Report this incident first. Then, ban him from this game. It might be tough at first, but help him find more appropriate activities.
