What are you gonna do? Once you have to deal with a "sociopath," you leave him/her alone. He'll end up in jail or a mental hospital and that's that. Jail is good, as there is no treatment to be had. You start in relating to such a person, you're finished...they don't care about you, they don't care what they do or say to you, they are indifferent to any consequence.....

Short answer: you don't.

If a sociopath is doing everything they can to get control over you, becoming a sociopath to deal with them actually gives them power because they are 'deciding' the course of action you want to take.

In other words, you don't let the enemy dictate your actions. Take the intiative, and make them respond to you.

Sociopath? Are you even sure about what you're saying?
Sociopath is a loaded word.

Why do you need to?

That is, if you *don't* beat him/her, what will happen? Will you lose your job? Will some other terrible thing happen? Or will the worst thing be that you will stay up late at night angry because he/she "won"?

If the worst that will happen is that they will win, then by stressing over this, you are giving them power over you.

If you don't care whether they win or lose, then they have no power over you, and in every way that counts, you win.

You need to be one step ahead of them at all times...if not you will lose...the game must be played out step by step actions planned out 5 times advanced if needed

You turn just as nuts as they are.
They have no conscience or pity and it's virtually impossible for a normal person to do the thing that are routine for them.
Stay away from them!

Would take a really long time but you would need to be able to get them to care about you then right when they confess their love for you, you would have to show absolutly no concern for them.
