As a kid I had several experiences I thought were real which were not. Once I saw the police arest my dad and drive off with him. When I ran into the kitchen to tell my mom, he was standing there! I was about 7 years old at the time. Has anyone else had experiences like that?

iv just answered a question here and its got me wondering what my dream really means.

atleast twice a week i dream that im standing alone at a bus stop and a large group of guys turn the corner and attack me. they punch, kick and stamp on me for what seem like forever and then suddenly stop, walk away leaving me in a total mess. i can see them walking away slowly, the dream goes kinda blank and i wake up. its not so much a nightmare as im used to it now but i used to wake up in a cold sweat, i also get a bit of dejavu from it every so often.
i have been attacked at a bus stop before but it wasnt nearly as bad and i wasnt badly shaken up from it.
im from Glasgow which can be a bit of a rough city if that makes any kind of difference
any ideas folks??

i have borderline pd im waiting for therapy. i have very low self esteem. i have no friends, and iam socially isolated. i hardly ever go out because of great anxiety and inner anger. im hopin therapy can help me with this when i get it. meanwhile the main contact i have with people and girls is with through the internet, places like myspace. but the problem is i cant get any girl to respond to me, when i leave them messages. plus i struggle to talk to them because of low self esteem. and i cant talk to them without appearing, 'needy' and my insecurities coming through. because of my lonliness and isolation, i crave intamacy early and it frightens off any encounters i make with girls. iam a physically ageing 29 year old. i feel im unable to attract girls i like and never really have done, because of my problems. im so tired of bein alone. can anyone help?

Alright I know that this might sound crazy but I'm going to say it anyways. My husband is in the U.S. Army, currently deployed to Afghanistan. Well, he's been gone for a year and he's deployment got extended. He hasn't called me in 6 days which is making me worried. Last night I was on the couch surfing the web and I smelled oil and grease but there's none of that in this house. My husband is a mechanic and I was just wondering if he was trying to reach out to me or something. The smell was right next to me just for a couple of minutes. It was no where else in the house and it's gone now. Is it he's way to reach out for me?

I had a dream last night that I was chasing someone i knew trying to catch up and couldnt so in the end i turned round and ended up on a stage where I could just about see through the curtains through a gap and could see my fiance standing there in the crowd. When the stage curtain opened i didnt know what i was supposed to be doing there. There was quite a few people on the stage with me doing there own thing but i didnt know what i was supposed to do, we were all dressed the same. When it had finished everyone clapped and curtains closed and through the gap I could still see my fiance standing there- weird or what??

I am still trying to get through the book. My chest hurts and I cry a lot. I know Don was killed in prison, but that is small comfort. Is there anyone out there who is hurting over this book? I can't talk to my family or husband, since they don't like to hear about those things, and I'm trying to become strong so when I retire I can work with abused children in some way. This has been the hardest account for me to get through. I read the Dave Pelzer series and A Beautiful Child, and they affected me without a doubt, but I finished those rapidly. I can only get through Ursula's story a few pages at a time. I already skipped to the back and read about the signs of child abuse. This book makes me feel cold and deeply, deeply sad. It makes me wonder about life after death, whether our justice system is effective, what can I do to help? I have these questions that are keeping me awake at night. I just have to know if there are many others who carry Ursula in their hearts...

My question was inspired by another I just read and responded to. What I want to know is if you can LEARN to be charasmatic or is it a quality that you just naturally possess? If you feel that it can be learned, can you give me some suggestions on how one can be more charasmatic? Thanks a lot!

I have a major problem, and it involves saying 'no'.

I can't do it!

I mean, obviously I can say no in general conversation and to really stupid stuff, but when it comes down to a situation where it's only going to affect me and the person doing the asking, the word can't escape my lips.

Like I posted on the ciggie thread, I give LOADS of ciggies away. People around here always ask, and I can never say no. Even just total strangers on the train or in a club, i'll give away 30 in a night! I DO NOT have the money to do that, but I can't stand to feel selfish. At they'd know if I lied about having any as soon as I sparked up!

Similarly, I can't say no when it comes to someone trying to get with me. The other day I was in a bar and ended up making out with some guy (admittedly, he was very attractive, but I still don't normally consider it good to do things like that) because I

in other words, do they let things go a lot with other people and allow people to be mean or say things that other people wouldnt put up with? how do they become sensitized to what is right or wrong? and also, is this the reason some women marry abusive men, because they cant recognize what is right or wrong?

My g/f that lives in the States, has serious mood swings, I can do no right. One example, I bought a cheap watch yesterday, just to tell the time...that's all I need. I said "shame it's not a rolex"...she then went silent on me and said could she go. I tried to ask what I had said, and she accused me of wanting nothing but money....I tried to say It was a joke....I don't even want a bloody Rolex.....I accused her of trying to control me...that was it...bang, the phone goes down and refuses to answer it.....help!.....is it me? She does this all the time....she is coming to live here in two months, but has threatened to cancel the flight on a number of occasions. Is she just insecure...as am I because of the distance...I have told her how much it hurts me...and I get told to "get over it" or "grow up"...I wish I could tell more...Does anyone know what she wants....I even offered to live there, got the house valued, then she said she will come here..control? and will she fly?
