am doing some research for a paper so serious answers only please. I would like to know your feelings on Gays in the Military. I would also like to know how you feel about the current policy in place. Now Imagine for a min that you are on the frontlines and all you have is your buddies to your left or right and you are praying that they remeber that last 1st aid class or they got 40 out of 40 on their weapons qualification. At this very moment are you thinking " Are they gay"? Does it really matter to you their sexuality and why. What are your why's and why nots. Also if you can point me in direction of any "credible" resources that discuss this topic let me know. I am researching for a paper and I am not gay but my position is that I feel the current policy protects the homosexuals privacy and sheilds them from any ridicule after all sexual orientation does not affect job performance and we "all" know that "AIDS" is NOT a disease that affects homosexuals only.

Here's an example: The movie "Alive." Airplane transporting a soccer team crashes in the Andes. The survivors are stuck in the mountains for months with no food...so they eat the dead. It really happened, so it's fascinating. But if this was completely fictional, it wouldn't be as interesting. Why are true stories inherently more appealing? In other words: why are we interested in things we wouldn't otherwise be interested in -- for example, cannibalistic soccer team -- when we know they really happened?

Could you help me please?

I am writing a dissertation, the topic being whether art (be that painting, writing, photography etc) can be effective in helping the sufferer cope with the distressing symptoms of the illness, and bring (if only temporarily) a release and comfort to him/her. If YES, could you please explain why this is so. Thank you

Do you push yourself to learn new things for the sake of learning or do you do it for the response from others who positively react to your level of expressed knowledge? Often I see people who attempt to be intellectual because they want to know-it-all and be authoritative, but occasionally I encounter people who seem to be almost naturally intelligent. What do you think about this?

The way I see it every emotion experienced is eventually counter-acted by and equal and opposite counter-emotion.

And of course physical pain is counter-acted by the pleasure gained from the relief of the pain.

I know it needs a bit of work.

but here it is:

I sit here staring out into a dark ebys.
wondering why i was born.
wondering why someone would bring me in this world knowing
i was going to have mental illnesses.
my father abusing me while snorting another line of meth.
yelling "your worthless." and "you were a ******* mistake"
my mother telling me that its my fault.
i sit here.
contemplating why someone could be so cruel
to tear me apart
even when i was just a little girl
that saddest part
is i cant even help myself.
