Seems like a shallow life... You've had some tough times, but your positives are pretty strong. Seems like a waste to give those up. If you are dealing with depression or other side effects from the sexual difficulties, perhaps you should consider seeing a professional. By what I've read, abuse can cause several of the other problems you've described (promiscuity or desensitization to sexuality - sex industry?, failed relationships, difficulty dealing with others, and can also cause lack of trust, control issues, lack of confidence, fear).

Only if you enjoy struggling. The sad thing is alot of us know someone just like that and trust this not many have looked in the mirror and said this is what I want to be when I grow up. However, different circumstances place us in different situtations. How we handle these situations and How we feel about oourselves at the time plays a big part in the actions we take from that point. When kids are involved I bet if they were thought about first, truly, one realizes none of the above are good. They need you. Always and forever. Think they become your strength

you seem to confuse yourself. you say your a drug addict with kids on the one hand which is a detrimental scenario. you should not have kids in your care in that situation, and seriously need rehab and counselling to do with the drug/sexual abuse issues. you are psychologically mixed up which could lead to self-harm in many ways. on the other hand your independent with no kids and have never touched drugs. sounds like your a healthy person with a focus on your life.

well, you seem to be able to relativise your experiences which is generally a good thing. You also seem to be honest and upfront about them, again a good thing. So from my POV, you're doing allright. In the end, the single important question is are you happy with your life right now? If yes, then good on ya. If not, well, time to make some changes.

if you are now single & have NOT had kids then don't have any kids until you get your life together & on the right track

if you have kids then that's all the reason to better yourself & stay off drugs & become someone that your
children can look up to & be proud of

anyone can change if the want to
