Some economists consider the World to be flat. Whereby the effects of globalisation mean that companies anywhere in the World can have the same business opportunities. Is this what you mean?

Certainly, by some, or there would be no need for a Flat Earth Society.
It is a belief or faith if you will. In spite of all evidence to the contrary or a total lack of supporting evidence some people just believe.
They believe the world is flat, they believe in God, they believe a comet is a space ship, they believe all UFOs are alien space craft, they believe illegal aliens are good for America and I believe this list is nearly endless. But I have put an end to it with a period (.).
Good day.

We know that the world (or the Earth) is round from the scientific information and thanks to the technological progress that made it's photos available to everyone of us. However, our visual perception of the Earth did not change. We perceive it as flat.
