Shilpa Shetty - Whats all this racism stuff?

Question

As I hate big brother with a complete passion, can someone enlighten me as to whats actually happened with this bullying thing? Has she actually been abused or are some of the general public being over sensitive?

And for the record, she is fit as a butchers dog!

Additional: Since when did being called a dog become a racist comment?

I see the kind person below makes two wrongs a right by slating Ms Goody, does that make them racist?

Well as far as i know i don't think jade has actually intended to be racist with her remarks but we all know shes a thick as 2 short planks, this is most obviously shown by her not actually acknowledging the reason why she is famous. She is famous for being thick and being on big brother. Shilpa pointed this out to her but she didnt get it and thought she meant her claim to fame was arguing with shilpa. I think it has all started because they are so different. Shilpa is very intelligent and beautiful, Jade is the opposite. First there was the comments about the chicken being undercooked. Then they had a row over an oxo cube. Now it seems the 3 girls take any opportunity to have a dig at shilpa for anything. Jade hasnt said anything "racial" (except maybe calling her shilpa poppadom - but this is just another example of her stupidity) Danielle and Jo however have imitated her accent, said she cant speak english and have made references to indian people as mentioned by the other users. Jermaine immediately seemed to think it was a race issue but this is generally an excuse that non-white people seem to use for any sort of bulling. Argument = racism and its not always the case.

I didnt think anybody could be as stupid as jade but i was proved wrong: Jack "what's an embryo?"

All in all i think jade goody is just an idiot, and anybody that cant see that is just an idiot as well. I want Shilpa to win BB. I want Jade to get evicted and i can't wait to see her reaction to the crowd booing her!!!!!

I despise jade with a passion and i think we're starting to see the real jade at the moment. This whole persona she puts on about being 'stupid' (which she exaggerates for effect anyway) isn't going to save her this time. How can anyone reply to this saying Jade and her 'posse' inst being racist? either you're as culturally insensitive as she is or you genuinely are thick. Take Jo for example suggesting Indians are thin because they are always ill as a result of under cooking their food., or Danielle saying Shilpa can't even speak English. I don't know about her but i can understand Shilpa perfectly and I'm from Liverpool like Danielle is. Or even Jackie who couldn't be bothered to learn Shilpa's name.

If it weren't for juvenile, obnoxious, petty behavior related to being drunk, sleeping around, being attractive, fitting in, not fitting in, being loved, or being despised, no one would watch stupid reality television like Big Brother. Those people are in that house to offend, betray, annoy, back-stab, lie to, and otherwise make the others in the house somehow beneath each other in order to win a large sum of money. All sorts of vile behavior has been shown on Big Brother and everyone thought it was cheeky and scandalous and entertaining until the victim was from India, and then suddenly we all expected the housemates to be nothing but dignified and loving and respectful of all diversity and human rights. WTF?!

My position is this. If you are a Big Brother watcher then you - by definition - find yourself entertained by people acting horribly and cruelly to each other. Don't you *dare* have the nerve to suddenly be offended because you think that making fun of someones accent is unspeakable while lying and cheating and betrayal and general despicableness is "just good TV."

I wouldn't call it racism I'd call it 3 girls bitching over someone who's culture and back round is totally different from their own! All three (beeutches) are competing to be queen bee in their little group and see her as a threat because they don't like the fact she's the fittest ! It's as simple as that. Jade (verbal effluent) Goody thinks she's running a little girls club it's so immature !
But on the other hand Jermain Jackson USN' t helping as he seems to be st iring it all up behind their backs calling it a "colour issue"

I'd be up for Blind Torre ts Midget big brother! You make all the furniture 1ft higher and place fully loaded hand guns randomly around the house and let em get on with it !! NOW THAT WOULD BE WORTH WATCHING more than a bunch of would be "celebrities" bitching about each other for such extortionate amounts of money !!!

i think they are bullying but i don't think it is racist. Every year in big brother (celebrity or not ) there are people who back stab and argue with other people and nothing is said, all this racism stuff is a load do good people complaining. When Shilpa and jamaine were talking in the bedroom after shilpa and jackie had had a row, jamaine was saying that jackie was just "white trash" nobody started calling him a racist, it always seems to be a oneway street in situations like this.

Well actually the only person being racist in the house is Jermaine Jackson.

I have lots of respect for him, but every single night for about a week, the whole 'white' things comes up. '"It's only cos they are white" "They don't like you because you are a woman of colour"

This whole thing started because Jackiey couldn't pronounce shilpa's name!!! So Jade's kept the grudge going, and those little sheep of hers are just doing the same.

To be fair, they are all as bad as each other.

Well from what I can tell of this carry on, is that yes they are ganging up on Shilpa, calling her names and things, but both Shilpa and Jermaine have also taken the mickey out of the Brits accents. both lots are doing it, although the Brits are being more aggressive about it. Danielle got the hump about Indians ' or is it in China that they eat with their hands' about eating using your fingers. She said it was disgusting but bet she's eaten a McDonalds or fish and chips without a knife or fork.

As these so called celebrities are all being paid mega bucks for being in BB and supposed to be raising money for charity (and their profile) why are they moaning?
Apart from anything else, they are NOT prisoners or kids stuck in school, they CAN leave at any time they only have to ask or walk out. If this Indian lady can't stand the way she is being talked to why on earth doesn't she just GO?

Well its fu*kin obvious to me!! She "Shilpa" (oh no we cant call her an indian, even tho the c*nt is an indian) is playing a blo*dy game. She has made it so that people are thinking she is getting picked on. Its quite pathetic really. English people are getting on my nerves. Jamaine Jackon called jade "white trash" a week ago, yet no one has said anything about that and this is a british tv show, Uk is an english country, yet people just overlook the factthat he was racist, in the worst possible way, as he cussed white people. All they did to shilpa was refer to her as "the indian", WELL THAT IS WHAT SHE FUC*IN IS AINT SHE!!!!!!!

I get so mad with the british public, i dont watch it now cause my blood boils. The general public are,with respect, thick. Well the 20,000 of them who have complained are. I watch it quite a lot on 24 hour bb, and jade has not bullied no one either. I love jade, she hates bullies, and so do i. I think its all been made up so that bb gets more attention cause it floped this year. Well it certainly has as i know white english people aint watchin it now.

i got the impression that though she may be being bullied, it's not necessarily race-related, its just cos the other girls are jealous or whatever and would say most of the same things about her if she was white and still more beautiful/rich/famous/intelligent than them....
but then i haven't really been watching it, thats just the impression i got from what i've been hearing..
