Psychology - November 2006

We both married. She is 43 and I am 37. Both family knew each others. We knew for about a year. we started chit chat thru phone and during gathering few months back. beginning was chat later she start telling me about her husband and kept complaining to me that her husband don't give her any freedom at all and careless .. she is sick of that but she remains ..

later part she called me and sang a Kiss song then kiss me thru phone and told me this is her limit and cannot go further with me ..

I can also see that she is messing with guys but those with care and nice ones i supposed. but what can i do to avoid me being hurt if .. really mess up my mind by her ? But i need to do in order just to keep our ordinary friendship ? Avoiding her and her phone ?

i phone message her that i decided to end this relationship. i called later to check whether if she got it and she sound like in anger .. what she thinking ?

I just had the worst first semester ever as a freshman in a college. I'm experiencing a mental or nerovous breakdown because I can't tell my parents what I have done. I want to cry and I hate myself but I know I can do better next time. PLease help me, I feel terrible how do I move on. I feel like I am being to hard on myself....falling apart please help.

Throughout my childhood I have lived with an abusive psychotic father and mother who decided to have a large "family" of 8 which was a reenactment of the father's childhood. His childhood was dirt poor, a large number of brothers and sisters who were suposedly brought up in the christian faith and who later turned out to be a bunch of munipulating, coning welfare cases. The father who's name is Phillip Collin Galey, was a drunk who obsessed over control, and power he was most munipulative and believed the landlord was the devil and and so he made me and my brothers and sisters live out of vehicles parked on other peoples property. The mothers name is Terry Evon Porter. I remember times as a young child on up to the age of 16 being locked in a metal dairy box out in the woods for hours as he would stand over it forcing me in saying, Now you understand what happens when people defy the lords helper. So later on I disowned the whole and see a psychologist. how do i deal with it or cope?

Its hard to describe, I have parents I can't confide in but other then that we get along. Throughout my life I can remember almost becoming dependant on one particular person. The last one I haven't seen for 10 years now, she was like a mother to me, though she was actually my teacher. I miss her terribly and think of her everyday, she won't respond to my occasional email though.

I just can't move on. I know they only way for the hurt to go is if I find someone else to "depend" on but I can't go through it all again. I just can't get her out of my head dispite living a completely different life a few hundred miles away from her.

Hi, I am 19 and I have trouble with men. I like older men and am also sober for 3 years so don't like young men who drink and do drugs. I am mature for my age, work full time and think I am smart.

I have trouble with relationships. It is hard for me to commit to somebody. I crave for them to tell me they love me. I like to hurt men and make them feel bad. I cheat on them and play mind games. It depresses me that I can't have a normal relationship. My best friend thinks it's because I had a very dysfunctional and abusive relationship with my father when I was a child and raped twice.

I like two different men a lot. I know they like me a lot but I have cheated on them with eachother and told them. I know I can have them both any time I want, dont tell me I cant. I am told Im very beautiful. For some sick reason I like hurting them. I want to hurt them more but I want them to tell me they love me too. I know it is so perverse and demented don't bother telling me that. Whats wrong?

How come when you explain obscure hobbies people tell you need to get a life? Don't they realize they're being hurtful? If having a life is doing boring, mediocre things then count me out!!!

We all have lives, obviously.... I take care of myself, what's the big deal if I collect comic books and like playing Dungeons and Dragons?

Is a 'life' simply the unspoken moral, social norm code or something that we dare not break? How comes it seems like you make friends easier the more you fit this certain code? What's wrong with being weird and eccentric and changing a lot?

A life can only be defined biologically, right? And if not, then what is this 'LIFE' you speak of?

i found this ad on craigslist that sumone wanted to sell their car.
so i was interested and i gve him a call and we introduced ourself and stuff. then i asked him if the car has a clean title and replies me with anger with a rude tone "what do you mean by that"?
why did he get mad?
is it possible that the question can offend sumone?

This week all my dreams have featured the same brown haired little boy.In one dream i find him locked in a car and realise and take him out,he was not upset or anything he had happily been playing with his toys in the car.

In another dream he is a few years younger and has gone missing and is in the news,a while later he is found hit by a car and has been killed,someone has come to photograph the little boy just moment's after its happened and someone is extremely upset that anyone could do that.

Don't you think it's curious that our universe, as we know and understand it, is completely designed down to the absolute scantest detail. What amazes me the most is how the human body functions so remarkably. A few things I find absolutely phenomenal are:
How we can sense, interpret, and process little invisible waves of sound with a little device we call our ear and that sends a little neurological wave to your brain and who knows what else...
How we can sense, interpret, and process photons, light particles with a little device we take terribly for granted called the eyeball...
What about how we can detect extreme changes in temperature and automatically move ourselves...
How our bodies utilize energy we intake as food...
How we can make certain noises with our throat which are understood by other people instantaneously...

I think there is a power/god/etc. that has taken about 1,000,000 years and designed the whole setup. Every day I think about it it seems more and more impossible

Most criminals are in jail for doing some random thing that breks the law.
why would someone kill another person?
1. The guys like demented
2. the guys like really angry and just takes it out on the person who he thinks is the root of his anger
3. a really evil/demented guy who wants to cause havoc
why would someone rape someone?
1. he really likes the person
2. Demented
why would someone steal?
1. they really need money or really likes the thing but can't buy it
2. demented

As you have seen in every question demented comes up,
it might be A.D.D or some random **** like that because if you carefully examine every person in jail, most people aren't actually evil, they are just demented and need a psychiatrist.

spiders could fly? They're terrifying enough just crawling around. What if spiders had wings and could actually fly and land on you? Somehow this seems worse to me than having a spider crawl on me (which would just be a mild heart attack).

I am pretty sure I am the only human who ever felt this way about certain people, especially certain teachers. There are some people in the world who almost physically emotionally and mentally repulse me, yet at the same time I feel attracted to them.
I have this one teacher presently, who I will admit is right now my fave teacher. But yet at the same time he repulses me in a way that I can't understand or describe. Sometimes I wish that I would come to class one morning and they announce he was killed on the way to school, like maybe in a car crash.
So what is wrong with me? Has anyone else ever felt this way about another person? I don't like being around him, or being in the same space as him. He doesn't smell bad. He isn't ugly. But its his AURA that I feel and I get uneasy. I feel that people might be looking at me at the same time and comparing me with him, even though subconsciously he is someone I admire and look up to. Is this crazy or what?
