i found this ad on craigslist that sumone wanted to sell their car.
so i was interested and i gve him a call and we introduced ourself and stuff. then i asked him if the car has a clean title and replies me with anger with a rude tone "what do you mean by that"?
why did he get mad?
is it possible that the question can offend sumone?

The dude was in the wrong. I could see how it would offend him. He probably saw it as you accusing him which of course you weren't. He had no right to reply with anger. He should've taken a different route in replying to your question.

yeah, thats a rude question. If someone were selling a car, wouldn;t we all assume the title was clear? Thats like asking someone who is selling a used tire "does it hold air?"
