Hi, I said a few words of encouragement to a guy. I wonder if I over did it because his reaction was to thank me for my kindness. I told him he was attractive, although he apparently doesn't think so. I was NOT being kind to him. I was telling the truth, but why did he react in that way? I'm confused. What do you think of such a reaction? Do you think he was being shy about my compliment? Thanks a lot for sharing.

I always want to be the best in everything but I know that I cant! Still all my goals in life revolve around perfection and if I don’t do sth the way I want I don’t do it at all! and this leads me to self loathing! what should i do?

I always work. I don't have time for myself. I am stuck in the cycle of working too much and working too long. Is it because I love the money that comes with it?Or I was just trying to hide my insecurities? Do people derive their sense of worth from what they do instead of who they are?

Do they act a certain way? Do they have behavioural ways that are different? If you are a professional, can you see if an adult has been sexually abused as a child and if so, what do these people show? What are their ways?

Ok this is very difficult to explain but do you ever find that when travelling long distances in the car you entertain yourself by imagining an invisible thread weaving in anf out of the reflector poles or trees by the side of the road? And that sometimes you do it without even thinking so you are always doing it? Am I the only person in the world that does this?

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Love-shyness

I've managed to, at last, find some true reference to what I have. I fit most of the description except the movie and music favourites which are certainly not for me. My love-shyness keeps me socially lonely, but free from all the ratcrap problems. I've not met a woman who can overcome this barrier for me. And I'm thinking that it's becoming a good thing too...

I believe that all men, and females, need to be physical. After all we had to be physical to be the champion to be born. We, as spermatozoa, had to beat possibly millions like ourselves to be a finalist at the womb. Those born successful are the "creme of the crop". It is the environment that we are exposed to that determines the level of character we would become in this life. I strongly believe that sports (specifically team sports) is one of the greatest mediums to build character. It is a discipline that teaches us to share with others, have comraderie, earn expertise (standards) through ones own applied performance, support other team members with positive encouragement, show leadership, good attitude. I believe that all "homo sapiens" must partake in a physical discipline to be considered normal. Those that don't, become "funny" people. Getting along with our peers is an indication of normalcy. This is most important. Many academics don't have this background. Who is smart?

i'm in highschool and i'm quite attractive- i almost always have a bf and even if i don't i have quite a number of guys asking me out on dates. i am talkative but not loud. i get along with boys especially because i talk about things related to them as well. however, since of late, i realised that i get very upset if i see another girl who can come up to my standards- and that leads me to think that i might be an attention-seeker!! can anyone give me suggestions on how to prevent myself from becoming attention-seeker, because its not a good road to go down.
thank you in advance
