Whenever I am around quiet areas such as school, work etc. I start hearing a couple of frantic, loud voices inside my head describing everything I am doing at the moment, which is driving me crazy! No matter what I do, they will not stop, and I cannot concentrate; so in order to overtone them I have to listen to music or go to noisy places.
This has been going on for a few months, and its greatly affecting my performance at work, school etc...
Is this Normal? Should I seek help?
Thank you.

I am a quiet person. When in a social situation I have a hard time keeping up conversation. I notice other people have no difficulty thinking of things to talk about when the conversation trails off. I know all about the "ask questions about them" and "current events" conversation starters, but I either feel like I will seem nosy or boring. I would much rather listen than talk. I feel bad when someone I just met asks a bunch of questions about me because I will usually come up with a short answer and leave it at that. I just don't think I am that interesting. I will often think of a response to something and not say it aloud. I just don't care for chit-chat. I also find that I fail to make eye contact with people. I will look at their face, but I have to consciously make an effort for eye contact. I have read about things like Asperger's and such, but I am nothing like that. Is it just a mild social dysfunction? Is there something specific it could be?

This is for language research. We need a list of noun pairs which have meaning by themselves but mean something else together. Other examples could be traffic light, diamond ring, tree house. It seems easy but it's kinda tricky.

For example: A young lady hardly ever wears makeup, and is considered moderately attractive anyway. She knows it because she is told, but is modest, and not very confident in social situations. One day she puts on makeup and goes to a party and is hit on by about ten different nice, interesting guys. She doesn't chalk it up to her being nice and interesting, behaving sociably; she associates her success with the makeup. So next time she has to go someplace with lots of people she wants to know well, she makes sure to apply makeup the same way.

Is that superstitious thought as taught in psychology?

Another example would be what my teacher said, an athlete never washing her jersey because she thinks washing it will ruin her winning streak, and then she wins all the games and thinks it's from the jersey, not her hard work and team effort....

And I tell them it had to happen when I was two, possibly earlier, because my brother was not born yet, and he was born when I was two. I have three to four memories from the place my parents lived in before I turned three (which is the age people think kids start remembering stuff) and anything I tell my dad about those memories, he confirms. The biggest memory was on the day we went to visit Mom in the hospital when my brother was first born, and I was two years, five months old. A momentous time.

What is the unusual reaction by teachers then? Is there something wrong with a brain that works that way? Please explain if it is something wrong or something odd, or if they are just put off because it is not what they learned in college when learning about memory.

The common idea people have is, blonde's are dumb, but have more fun; and brunette's are smart but have less fun. And I wonder to myself, how can this be true? Does hair color affect intelligence or is everyone wrong?

If the distinguishing factor of psychopathology is marked by inability to feel emotion would it be just to conclude that such psychopath could not also exhibit a second ‘suffering’ mental disorder?

Narcissistic Personality Disorder is almost always present in the Psychopath; however, this far from causes him/her suffering.

I remember talking about worms in Psychology class that were cut in half. Their tails could grow back a head that would remember things the worm was taught prior to being cut in half... does anybody have more info and does this mean humans may possibly store memories elsewhere?

I played soccer when i was about 8 i was very fat. My dad always screamed at me because i was slow and i started getting nervous and stopped playing. When i was 15 my brother started taking me to play with my uncles and started getting better. In the first month that i started playing with them i started to like soccer more and more. I started juggling the ball more and doing tricks and i liked it.In 5 months that i started playing i was so much better and my uncles started complimenting me by telling me that i was gonna be the best player of my family. When i turned 16 i tried out for my school team and only made JV because i got nervous at the tryouts and thought it was because my dad screamed at me when i was little. In practice and games i get nervouse too and i just feel like a body on the field. But when i play in Gym class i play good. I need to gain confidence because the V coach said he would move me to V in a few games. I need to know how i can gain confidence so i can play V

I had a dream of fish a couple nights ago..It was a big fish tank and with a lot of fish( maybe 30 or 35 of them) inside but some of them were hiding under stuff until i reached my hand in there. After I got them out of their hiding places I looked to my right and on top of the tank cover there was 3 dead fish..Is this one of those pregnancy dreams and could it be directed toward me or are those dreams only for others i know???

I work in a very small, single provider practice. Recently, all our medicare claims have been returned for various reasons. While I have foind all the official manuals online, I am having a hard time decoding some of the "official speak" and cross referencing when needed. If anyone knows of a book or site that goes through the claims process step by step in simple language, I would appreciate it. Thanks
