Psychology - September 2006

Whenever i lock the door, i need to check it few times to see if its locked (i try to open it and then i pull them, so i can hear the "click"). Whenever i turn the valve (watter walve), i need to turn it on and off few times to make sure that watter wont come out. The things i do sound silly, and i am aware of that. But if i dont do those "rituals", i will feel very nervous and anxious.

Also, whenever i do something, i want it to be symetric...the same way it looks right , the same way it is left.

There is another "strange" thing i've been doing. I allways feel itch on my head top. I am 100% i dont have flake or any kind of parasites that would cause such thing. I sometimes feel need to pull my hair in order to make it go away. I think it has something to do with CNS.

I have never asked for help with these problems, all i want is an explination why is this hapening...just to satisfy my curiosity.

If you can please answer some of these questions.

First Of All I'm Not on drugs, second of all this is only a vague description.



I was on drugs and my one friend and some other girls I didn't know kept giving more and more and I kept taking them. Then we went to six flags and lived there, my mom and dad said we had to go to a school feild trip and then we did and I saw my other friends there and they kept ignoring me. then the new kid at our school was saying crap about me to my face. then we went back to six flags and took more drugs, it was non-stop! then me my one friend and this one girl were walking down the hallway and her and my friend were fighting about something and then everyone seemed to know about the drugs. they took us to wear we hid them and i was realived to show them where they were. then i woke up.


whats up with this dream? i have an idea but I'm not sure about it, so help please?

I asked if anyone knew of any ways I could deal with the waiting. He made it through and so did I. Thanks to all who helped. He has another surgery tomorrow and I think we're both more prepared to handle it.

i know alot of ppl have a problem with dealing with change, and i know its mostly about being in your own comfort zone, but sometimes i feel like i take it above and beyond, almost compulsive! i cant spend time with ppl i dont know, i cant sleep anywhere but my own bed, i cant eat foods that i havent been eating for a long time. i feel like im so terrified to do anything out of my normal because im so scared of whats gonna happen, and i cant make myself deal with the changes! what can i do to make myself more open to change? What would you do to pass the time? I mean, you'd have an endless supply of canned foods like spam and pooted meat to take care of food. What would you do with all the time you have?

i love being in love and everything that comes with it but i'm starting to believe that being single and consequently not engaging in romantic affairs gives me more peace. 'cause if i fall in love, i fall for real & once it's over it hurts too much and it makes me totally shattered; emotionally & mentally. i love romance & passion but if it's not with the right person i don't do it. so i guess, what i'm really asking is for your opinion on coming to terms with being single and how to control your desire. i don't wanna feel it 'cause it makes me long for something i can't have.

I find it interesting that at the only time in the Earth's History that the Sun and Moon are the same apparent size is the only time (probably) that there have been living things, ie humans, on this planet that have been able to percieve this phenomenon in this way. - I would appreciate any answers or speculations, including those from people who don't think this is true, eg fundamental Christians etc, or whoever else. As you see by me asking this question as if it's possibly of interest I have room to consider any beliefs, or opinions, including the common sense, that it's random coincidence. I have no theories, but some interest in synchronicity. PS. it's generally assumed by the "scientific" community, and myself, this has not always been the case, ie the distance of the Moon from Earth. I would ask this over other catergories, but have almost run out of available questions for today.

Do you know what causes it (fatal familial insomnia)? and also if a person have that, what makes them lose their ability to sleep? and also, I know sleep is needed to stay alive but what does sleep do? When we sleep, do we recharge our brains? What exactly do we recharge our brains with? chemicals? How come we cannot make the chemicals then we can go on not sleeping until we are 80 years old.

When my sister was about 12 she kept having a recurring dream that she was on fire, she thought nothing of it really and eventually they went away. Now she is 31 and has a daughter of 6 who recently woke up from a bad dream called out and of course my sister went straight to her and asked what was the matter and she answered - I dreamt you were burning Mommy!
Does anyone know what this means as it is really freaking my sister out! It's stranger than fiction! I have to admit, when she told me my blood ran cold!!

I'm a healthy, sane person; however, I think I could, if I did not force myself to talk to people and smile, simply do whatever and no one notice me at all. I've seen it happen before, and completely understand the psychos who go up in the tower and shoot people for no good reason. They feel invisible too. What does this say about me that I can understand this mentality, even though I know better than to ever do such a thing and never would consider it?
