fear, hate, pain - because of some people
courage, love, well-being - because of most people
you focus on just part of the picture, look at the whole and don't be frightened. There's much more good in the world than bad. It's just that the bad gets all the attention.

I can tell you the reason but not the solution. In this present day word, people have become short tempered, selfish and have little or no conscience. We are in a hurry and have no respect for rules and laws. This is the state of world in-spite of good education and OK economic prosperity. That's the reason we have lost the essence of being human being and world is becoming a place where there is fear, hate and pain.

Why should people need to feel sheltered from pain and suffering when it is the strife and struggle that defines our very existance? The greatest joy in life is to overcome adversity. To see a challenge, and find oneself capable of succeeding.
Do not despair. React to adversity with your own anger. Take time to absorb the blow and lick the wounds, then after you recouperate your strength, strike back with a blow much greater than was dealt. If you do not know yourself, you may find it difficult to empower yourself and validate your existance. Do not let your adversaries subvert you. That is their intent. Always be true to yourself, and know that as you live it is your nature to fight for what you believe in.
Fear is one of our greatest weapons against the adversaries that would consume us as food or eliminate us as barriers to what they need or desire.
What is the most common form of death in the world, when you look at the whole animal kingdom? You may notice that it is to be eaten alive by a predator. This is the adversarial nature of our world.
Hatred is merely another form of fear. We react to a threat, something we fear, with anger. Anger is aggression, a desire to attack. Hatred is the desire to destroy something, or to wish that it does not exist. This is done out of fear because one feals threatened by it in some way.
Pain gives meaning and significance to things that we value. Without the threat of loss, a thing would lose a great deal of its value.
The moral of all this? Do not despair over the dangers in life, but acknowledge your own power and realize you are just as dangerous as those things that would threaten you.

US President Franklin D. Roosevelt said it best..."We have nothing to fear but fear itself." I personally believe he was right. Fear is a very powerful emotion that can be the catalyst of so many other behaviors. I feel that fear is at the root of almost everything that is negative...fear breeds fear...fear breeds ignorance...ignorance breeds hatred...hatred breeds violence...violence breeds pain and suffering...suffering breeds hopelessness ...hopelessness breeds dispair...and then there's always death lingering above and around all of it. So, the only thing that I can say for you to do is to try to analize your fear. Why am I feeling this way? What or who made me fear this situation? How do I cope with fear in a positive way. My mother seems to think that "all of the world has gotten so bad with violence & death"...but I tell her that since the dawn of time...there has been violence & death. Being part of that solution to this mindset is just that ...reset your mind...be conscious of the world around you...do you contribute to the world's problems...or do you leave them for someone esle to change. People think that these problems are for "society" to solve. Always remember that YOU are part of that society and that you always have the power to change your world (locally) if not "The World" (globally). Only in death do you lose your power to change anything.

There is fear, hate and pain in the world because human beings are dynamic, social creatures who have active imaginations. Our imaginations are what allowed us to develop wonderful things such as language and societies and art. We have sections of our brains that have animal natures and those brain functions helped us early on with aggression and self-defense when it was necessary.
Today, we're learning to be better than our animal natures, but we're not robots. Many of the things that make us alive and creative and amazing to one another are the same things that make us dangerous to one another.
Don't try to contain the whole world in your heart and mind. Cling to the people in your life; treasure your family and friends; be excellent to yourself. YOU didn't make the world the way that it is, did you? YOU'RE not in charge of everyone's behavior, are you?
Be the smile and the kindness that gets passed on, and let people find their own levels. Wisdom and peace are things that everyone must seek out for themselves, don't you think? :)
