what's better; having big time plans for the future and a heartache if they collapse or just go with the flow (which makes me depressed 'cause there's no sense of direction & stability)

Big time plans either collapse or succeed in leading you into a trap from which there is no escape. Doing things for the sake of some imagined outcome is like trading sacred reality for a foolish dream.

The sense of direction is an illusion that makes you imagine stability is having things turn out as you planned. It never has been the future. Every moment you've ever experienced or ever will happens as NOW. If you don't respond to the real options in the now, then all you'll have left are dreams. And eating at a banquet in a dream does far less to satisfy your hunger than a snack does in real life.

One thing we all forget to do is following your gut. If YOU feel that it is right at the moment, go with it. And if plans don't follow through, remind yourself that it isn't the end of the world. Remember, things in life ALWAYS happen for a reason whether you like it or not.

it all changes from person to person.

for me, having a plan means too much stress and worrying. it makes me feel pressed for time, and rushed, like if i'm not working towards fulfilling my goal, i'm wasting time.

going from day to day makes me feel much more comfortable, because that's the kind of person i am. i dont need direction. life is life. we're all gonna die someday, so the important thing is to have fun in the meantime.

for me, life is about happiness, and i'm most happy when i just let go.

Great things are never achieved by standing around and doing nothing. There is always risk involved for the finer things in life. Live everyday as if it were your last. You might regret not trying if you're on your death bed.

go with the flow
you can make things happen for the better of the good,if you try.
but you got to want it to happen first and then go after it.

LEARN TO LET THINGS GO A LITTLE. IF YOU GET YOUR HOPES ALL UP & PLANS FALL THROUGH, YOU'RE LET DOWN. IF YOU DECIDE TO 'KEEP ON KEEPIN' ON' NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, YOU'RE NEVER LET DOWN.
THEREFORE STRESS FREE. THAT'S THE WAY TO BE!
