I think maybe he seems like a jerk b'cause he's afraid to let his true self show for fear of being rejected and laughed at. If a guy is being a jerk to a girl but still likes her then maybe he's just waiting for the girl to break the ice and start something. He's testing the waters so to speak to see where he stands. If either one does nothing then nothing will happen!

Boys are like that some will even punch you. All they are doing in flirting with you. Boys don't know how to tell someone that they like them. Allot of guys are like this there whole teenage years and up into there 20s.
