In short, the dream was basically a terrible, terrible nightmare- but I enjoyed it because in the dream my best friend (opposite sex) was in me with it. I was terrified, but it I loved being in the adventure together. What do you think it means?

I'm not talking about hating another race but I think it's natural to feel more comfortable around your own race because those people look like the family you grew up with.

Hi! This is a question for anyone who has been involved in self-inflicted or self-desired pain – from a birthday spanking to self-mutilation.

I am a writer researching things for a book I am working on, and I really want to know peoples ideas of why they do this or why such things appeal. What do people achieve with it or think you achieve with it? What is the motivation? And why do you think this phenomenon exists? Also, is it a sexual thing or not? Is it a game? Is it something to be enjoyed or just tolerated as a means to some other end?

Any answers or comments will be hugely appreciated.

PS. In response to the notice in the guidelines, I am not glorifying self-harm or anything else. I am simply discussing it as a subject as worthy of answers as any other.

Is there anyone out there that has met someone that "claims" to have never loved another? Is this supposed to be a "cool" thing or are they just hurt or afraid?

Imagine that Florence Nightingale, that hard working 'lady of the lamp' and all round goodie, is alive and well.
You are both on a private jet with the pilot and the plane is about to crash. The pilot has a parachute and he can take one of you and double up.
So what would you say to the pilot to convince him that your life is worth saving more than good old Florence's?
I reckon you'd have to make it pretty good.

I think men buy flashy stuff trying to impress other MEN, not women. I believe there is an underlying homosexual aspect to the male psyche when he shops.

For example, how many women know the difference between a Chrysler 300C and a Chrysler 3000 SRT-8?

NONE OF THEM - except maybe the women working for chrysler. So why do men find it neccessary to buy advanced, more expensive technology if only OTHER MEN will recognize it.

How many women know the difference between 20 inch rims and 24's? NONE OF THEM - why should they care anyway?
I think men shop like this because they are afraid of other men pulling out rulers and measuring their sh*t.

Why is it when people get parking tickets, they leave it on the windshield and drive around with it rather than just taking it and putting it inside the car? It seems to me that driving around with it could either cause it to get blown away by high winds or otherwise cause it to get lost.

Are they just trying to show the rest of us that thy F*CKED UP?

I have noticed whenever some people want to joke around with others on this site, they get uptight. Why do people have to be like this? Can't they ever not take things so seriously?

If someone is in denial about something, it means they do not agree, or want the thoughts, or feelings they are having, meaning they have no control over such feelings...
… meaning that they have no choice about their feelings…
…but then surely…
Having no control over such feelings... and no choice… means loss of free will…
... doesn't it?

I can't get death off my mind. I get freaked out, start scraping my right wrist, sometimes cut it with a kinfe like I did today.. I wear a long sleeve shirt or jacket so no one can see. Then my stomach gets upset and my head constantly hurts. I have a fear of needles, but no fear of knives. It burns when I do this, maybe like burning in hell, where I belong anyways since I am a worthless piece of &$#@. Lately I figured i would eat my self to death, had a stick of butter and pound of bacon. Maybe a artery will clog up and finish me off before I do it myself.
