i fell in love with a man, who hurt me immensely.. i left him but still continued to love him!!
He got back to me and used me for my money and other intimate things and lies to me for everything.. He doesnt know what is love or care..
I realise this after 6years and feel a lack of self esteem.
i thought i lovedhim unconditionally, but i dont now.. what does it mean

Women love guys who play guitar, and in general guitar players are seen as cool, but most people are totally not impressed by advanced guitar techniques such as sweep picking, speed picking, fingertapping etc. They can hardly tell the difference between a jimi hendrix guitar solo and an yngwie malmsteen guitar solo. Why is this?

Sometimes when I have a hard decision to make or something I end up debating outloud to myself the reasons for and against a decision. Other times I just talk to myself when no one else is around, but sometimes that's just singing. I hardly notice that I'm doing it.

Why not be yourself from the very beginning? Is it better for someone to like you for who you can be or for who you actually are?
Why do people hide behind facades?

Looking for some thought provoking answers here.

Words, phrases, sentences, paragraphs, letters and books never ever bother me in any way whatsoever because I know for certain that any adverse reation whatsoever to any piece of language is a clear indication of a faulty mindset. In the past whenever something upset me I worked on myself until the hurt, pain or upset went away. And now that I am nearly 50 years old I'm nearly perfect.
The reactions that I am getting to this kind of subject proves conclusively that I am absolutely right.
I want to be able to express myself with total freedom using all of my language to full effect.
I do not want to live in a world where the desire for censorship is high and growing.
Prudes have problems arising from a faulty view of the world and a faulty view of how it works and they are stupid enough to think that the solution lies in using pressure and manipulation to remove a large number of extremely useful words and expressions. How exhasperating can you get?

I would take the side of the realist because whenever I try to open the eyes of someone with a victim mentality to the possibility that they might be a victim of their own faulty perspectives, I find it exremely annoying when a well meaning martyr type defends "the poor innocent helpless victim" against my high quality provocation. The martyr type often turns on me and tries every trick in the book to get me to leave her "baby" alone. But I won't stand for this nonsense. I always turn on badly behaved martyrs and rip them to shreds as a punishment for siding with the wrong party.

My 2 kids still sleep with their "Blankie". Daughter 15, son 11. It's fine with me but sometimes I wonder how long Blankies would last... I hope they last for a long long time. I never had a transitional object while growing up but now, seeing my kids, I wish I had one.

Only when I have enough hard evidence do I ever consider drawing conclusions that might fit the facts.
And then whenever new hard evidence turns up I reconsider everything and revise every conclusion that I have if necessary.
But it strikes me very clearly that many people do something very different.
These people latch on to what sounds like a "good idea" or they latch on to a "good idea" with the expectation of getting something that they are telling themselves they badly need, and then they start looking for evidence for the purposes of fending off critical attacks, but all they can come up with is soft evidence. The final twist in the tale is that they then use the same technique of justifying wishful thinking with soft arguments to convince themselves that their soft arguments are actually hard arguments when this is not true.
These people are so good at what they do that they can keep up the soft justification game for ever without even noticing what they are doing.

1)my daughter
2)found my family after 22 years (our parents died when we were little and we got separated).
3)my friends (I am very fortunate to have more than a few very good friends)
4)my freedom
5)I am living the American dream...about to open a business that I have always wanted
I have many more things that are great in my life, but these are the top five. Just thinking about the good in your life is an exercise in positive thinking.....Peace.

lol! I had this weird dream last night: I was shaving my hair for ages, but it kept growing back, unevenly.

Meanwhile, I was at the house of one of my friend's wife, but she wasn't married and was all flirty. Next morning all my stuff was in her house and I had to move because she was leaving to college.
Remember, the hair kept growing and I kept shaving it ALL the time.

Strange, isn't it? :)

I saw this in a public book on comparative religion; Hubbard produced a scale of all human emotions showing which ones were closest to one another (for example, fear can be turned to anger most directly). I presume it is documented elsewhere, but cannot find it.

Sometimes through introspection, I find that these two common human social carriers of self-assigned inquiry into the behaviour of others brings discomfort. Could this be a security issue? If a person is comfortable with his/her self and feel secure with that self, would they be concerned about the motives of other people? How does a person stop these social interacting mind problems from causing anxiety and depression?
